Yellow has been my favorite color since I can recall.
As a small child, I always preferred the yellow Tupperware sippy cup, and I always asked for a yellow toothbrush.
I carried around a Pooh Bear, and played in my yellow Holly Hobby kitchen.
I am always the yellow game piece.
If your favorite color is yellow, you might be cheerful, idealistic, creative, methodical, quick-witted, enthusiastic, independent, imaginative, and highly intellectual with a love for learning.
You might also leap before you look, appear aloof, be hard to please and critical, strike with a bitter tongue, feel anxious, worry, be unable to shut down your mind, and find yourself jealous or lazy.
I tend not to have many yellow things in my home, since yellow is a very stimulating color for me, but there’s a bit here and there, because cheerful and happy. An old Pyrex lemonade pitcher, a knick-knack here, a giraffe there, a hallway painted Honey Bear.
Oh, did I mention my house is yellow?
Rumor has it that yellow houses are filled with plants, board games, books, and the smell of somethin good cookin.
Yellow houses are robbed less often than any other.
Yellow houses sell fastest. They evoke feelings of warmth and happiness.
How does yellow make you feel?
Do you have a favorite color?
When we were house hunting I fell in love with a yellow house for those reasons… It felt so much like ‘home!’ My other half vetoed it, for valid reasons, but I still catch myself daydreaming about what life would have been like in “the yellow house.”

Orange, which I have lots of dots of throughout the house. It became my favorite color after the orange roses in my wedding bouquet. I love to pair it with blue or purple when I am making up annual pots, etc. Oh, I can’t wait for that…Memorial Day here. Back in IL I would already be done and enjoying. Sigh.

My youngest daughter loves orange, too. Her room is painted Cantaloupe Slice, and she collects everything orange.

The walls at work are painted yellow – but it’s not a nice yellow. And the first time we ever painted the Tween’s bedroom (when she was a toddler), she chose yellow. But it was a nice yellow 😉 Yellow makes me smile – but you already knew that. 😀

How fun! Your love for yellow sounds like my purple obsession when I was a kid. I used to embarrass my parents, since I wanted to wear the same damn purple skirt every single day. Hey, I saved them some money (until I grew out of it)!
I do love yellow now, in small doses because of its energizing powers. I’m usually a sucker for green.

I love greens, too. Lotsa green in my house, more outside though 🙂
Thanks for popping in, Britt.

I love yellow, it used to be my favorite color growing up, so bright and cheerful! 😀 Now my favorite color is purple, but lately I’ve been tending toward blue because it’s so peaceful and restful. I also have a soft spot for greens.

Love those forsythia blooms! I have some of those in my house right now! Green has always been my favorite, but yellow is a close second. 🙂

Do you really? I think I might need to plant a forsythia. I had one in my previous yard, and I don’t even see one in my neighborhood!

I wanted a yellow car, but did not find one…however I don’t think yellow is my favorite color, though I admit to wanting to paint my living room (ie, since it’s an open houseplan that sorta means most of the house) mustard. I tend to favor a turquoise a lot…mixes of blue and green in various shades tend to excite me..in fact green would probably be the basic color I love..my husband is a blue person…
