C.S. Boyack challenged me in that three day quote thingy, and I just want y’all to know that asking me for three favorite quotes for three days is like asking me for three favorite books or three favorite songs or three favorite foods or three favorite movies.
It’s just too hard. Too hard!
Thank you, Boyack. If I didn’t so enjoy your random tidbits of hyscarical (i made that up just now) fodder, I would completely ignore this nearly impossible task.
But I noticed that a lot of people, even Boyack, are breaking the rules.
1. Post 3 of your favorite quotes each per day for 3 days in a row. The quotes can be of any other people or it may come straight from your own heart.
2. Nominate 3 bloggers with each post to challenge them.
3. Don’t forget to utter a thankful word to the person who nominated you.
Well, I wanna break the rules, too!
I’m not nominating anyone!
Hell it would drive me up the wall and over it to name only 3 of anything I like, much less my favorites. That’s like eating just 3 M&M’s. Or 3 pieces of pop corn. Well you see where I am headed. Oh while you are here I need to tell you of an error on my review from yesterday. It should read risotto not polenta. Caught it after reading Mark’s comment.

I eat three m&ms and three pieces of pop corn all the time. It is all that will fit in my mouth. Then I rinse and repeat. Isn’t that in the directions?

If it isn’t it should be.

Yeah, I don’t like to pick favorites, at all, lol!
Re your lunch, Was it fried risotto atop polenta?

No. I screwed the pooch altogether. It was balls of risotto rolled into balls, lightly breaded and then fried. Imagine a creamy risotto in a ball with a crunchy exterior. How I managed to write polenta I will never know. Maybe because the balls look like hush puppies.

Very nice! If someone didn’t break the rules every now and then, there wouldn’t be any need for them.

I admire people who can remember quotes and movie plots. I remember if I enjoyed the book/movie/play/poem but I seldom remember specific phrases. If I like it/it moved me in some way, I’ll go back and reread/listen and re-enjoy and remember that it was rememberable but remembering quotes is like pulling a squirrel out of a toque to me.
The Toni Morrison quote is bang on. I might remember that for five minutes until I hear a song I like. 😉

Three a day for three days, totaling nine — which I think is twenty too few.

I thought that would take a LOT of work. If I could figure out how to do a decent one . . . .

Copy a background from the interwebz, paste into Paint, choose a color and a font — it’s a lot of work lol 😉

Well done for breaking the rules! I loved the quote about giving up the ‘shit that weighs you down!’

My favorite poster on my bedroom was a little Confucius or Zen like: “Behold the turtle. He only makes progress by sticking his neck out.” I liked this especially in high school. Your auote: “Rebel.” Made me think of it, Joey. 🙂
