Things I don’t wanna do:
Sit upright
Type things in this box
Plan a menu
Make a grocery list
Take off this chipping nail polish
Straighten my hair
Put on actual clothes and shoes
Grocery shop
Cook
Things I wanna do:
Lie down on my husband
Doze off
Read
Watch television
Drink cocktails
Pet my pets
I do what I’m supposed to do.
You, too?
Ha Ha! Yes I do what I have to do as well

I am one of the most blessed men in the World. I like making menus. Do it when I wanna’. i like lists;sometimes. Ditto. Don’t mind grocery shopping, but again; see previous. Cooking is optional; look at my blog and clothes are only when I have to go get more stuff for cocktails. Tell ya’ got this Adult shit nailed.

I’m the same about clothes. You’re really great at adulting. I reckon I just need more practice.
You can give me ideas for the menu ANY TIME, Benson! 😀

Fortunately, the plumbing repair I made yesterday appears to be working fine today. I did get to do stuff I wanted to do today. Of course, I wanted to take the dog for a long walk early and I wanted to play ball with her later in the day.

Life would be so much better if we didn’t have to fool with the clothes and the hair to go anywhere.

I love this post, and agree with everything you want to do and everything you don’t want to do. I always feel like posts have to be intellectual and moving. This one is perfect because it’s the in between, real life, real feelings, honest. Thanks.

I fancied up from pajama pants to ripped jeans for grocery shopping. I should have known better than to try Costco on a Saturday, but I love the coffee…so, off I went telling myself the crowds won’t be so bad. Well, I ended up abandoning my cart and exiting the premises. Canned soup and crackers for dinner will do just fine :).

I can relate to that completely. I’m a walker-outter now and again, too!

They should serve coffee and cookies to people waiting in long lines! Nobody would walk out then :).

I had to wait to write you, Joey. Who knew what would go on Saturday?
I love that series of books, Joey, by the way. Little life lessons for little people. 🙂
I ended up using Ohio’s no sales tax weekend, buying more back to school clothes, spent 3 hours typing copious notes on my Epic blogging friends and still did not make it how I liked. Left library and headed to son’s house, my DIL had her pelvic bones and hip bone on one side if her body separate in this last month of her pregnancy. We hope she will go naturally but don’t blame her for choosing to schedule induction tomorrow at 6 am. I took their 6 and 4 year old girls, the M & M’s to a Burger King inside play area. They refused the park I took Sky and Micah last week, “too hot, Nana.” They rallied in the freezing cold fast food atmosphere. They made friends with a 5 and 7 year old sister and brother, then later, a 3 and 5 year old sis/bro combo. Today’s laundry, dusting, catching up with blogs and packed my bag. Called off into work 🙂 Yeah, grandbaby is coming at latest 6:00 am Monday!! First day of school, Wednesday. Oh boy! I have 48 hours sick time saved up but may just use 36. We shall see! Have a fantastic week, Joey and fam!

For ne, the weekend has been great. Not going to work means an easier and much more fun Monday, Joey. Enjoy your quiet room and all kinds of space for the first time since school was out for summer. 🙂

Love this! I like to call it “procrastinating”. Unfortunately, I’m an expert at that.

Yes!!! During the week, I make such elaborate plans of making my life exciting and restful at the same time. Come Saturday the laundry, the ironing, the depleting grocery all rear their ugly heads. And then a lot of “blahs!”.

Funny thing, life. Sometimes I wanna, sometimes I don’t wanna, and always I don’t know which it’s going to be until it hits me, Joey.
