Yes, technically I know it’s January of 2016, but on Monday, when I should have done this post, I was busy enjoying my company. I’m postin this super crazy early because later today, after I sleep, I plan to be mimosa’d and pajama’d and the only fussin I wanna do is over a big ol pot of Hoppin John.
We’re gonna count this Share My World as my launch post for Just Jot it January as well. I am not tipsy, the champagne didn’t go right to my head and someone needs to think of a nicer, non-violent metaphor that illustrates the idea of killing two birds with one stone.
Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)
I feel 40-ish, cloudy, and blustery — this is good. You don’t want me hot (bitchy) or sunny (delirious.)
What is most memorable about your high school years?
Boys. Yep. Boys. Blue-eyed boys mostly, and lots of em. Boys in holey jeans, boys in fast cars, boys in basketball shorts, boys with guitars, and boys in fields… a lot of boys, okay?
My memory is stellar.
The memories are vivid.
I remember other things, but mostly boys.
Have you ever owned a rock, pet rock, or gem that is not jewelry?
Yes. I’ve had lots of pretty rocks, but Moo has slowly stolen them from me, leaving me with one amethyst egg. I think two of my Buddhas are jade, does that count?
Complete this sentence: I like watching…out my picture window. I love watching the behavior of trees. I know I am turning into a lil old lady, but I love my birds and squirrels, too.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am most grateful for all the presence of loved ones and ironically, I look forward to peace and quiet in their absence next week. Long live The Quiet Room!

Haha my colleagues and I sometimes use “the weather” as a way of communicating what sort of mood the boss is in.
I also like looking out of my window a lot, but I tend to stare at the sky more than at trees etc. Recently, though, when I look at trees, I try to pay more attention to the small details and remember as much detail as I can. Just because.

Ha. I feel the same. I love getting together with family and friends, but once they go the first thing I do is put on pjs and enjoy the silence.

How about roasting 2 hens in one pan. It isn’t actually violent as the birds are already dead.
Today I am partially sunny,as opposed to partially cloudy. Highs in the 30’s and gusting winds of 30 mph.
If I try to remember my High School days it usually involves girls. Girls of various heights,coloring and ages. And for some reason an inordinate number named Linda.
I owned a piece of crystal that I got out of a mine in Arkansas,and somewhere I have a string of Turquoise I bought from Navajo in Sante Fe. Do those qualify.
I like watching people especially downtown on the Circle.No interaction just watching.
I am grateful for be able to spend time with friends and family. As for next week I am looking forward to seeing the twins. They were sick and I couldn’t see them last week. I want to see them in their overalls.
Well that was fun. Enjoy your Mimosas and your PJ time. We drank all of our bubbly last night. Of course I could have a beer and tomato juice instead. Well enjoy yourself.

Lindas, huh? My age group seemed to have me leaning toward a lot of Jasons and Chrises.
I definitely think turquoise counts. I love turquoise 🙂
I like people watching, too. I miss when I could go to the airport, get a coffee and invent stories for passers by.

Love this post ~ I had a lot of rocks in my day, still do, but I also had an “official” pet rock. I sometimes think back on that whole fad and wonder how it got started – crazy!

I now have two new new year’s resolutions. One: join in another prompt and Cee’s looks like a great one, and make up another less violent metaphor for killing two birds with one stone. 😀

I’m grateful to have driven from here to San Diego and back again safely! It was a long drive! Right now I don’t have the energy for sharing or jotting but hopefully it will come back again!

I have not had enough of my grandies since that are finally over colds and Trista thought she had stomach virus bur first diagnosed needing antibiotics and this gave her acid reflux, she went back to Dr and latest diagnosis is GERD. I feel bad because Hendrix still depends on her breastfeeding. She has really cut back on her food choices. Anyway, I am grateful for my local family, miss my Mom and am NOT looking forward to work. Joey, since I was a girl, trees meant a lot because I like watching birds! 🙂 ♡

You might could mention apple cider vinegar, see what her doctor thinks. It’s done wonders with my reflux and digestion. Not sure about while nursing…so I say ask the dr.
You’re right about the trees, Sissy and Moo both loved birds when they weren’t even in school yet. Moo knows more about the birdies than I do!
