I have always thought it interesting that the more you see a word the less you understand it. Or maybe it’s just me. What does “keepin’ it real” even mean. Being truthful;honest? My boobs are real but nobody ever asks. People sometimes call me a “real asshole”. Does that mean I am a sphincter? This discourse could give me a real pain. I do like real maple syrup. I used some in my pecan bars. So good. For Real.

Kind of complicated, probably worthy of a post or three.☺ I was an optimistic kid, a Pollyanna type, believed the world should work a certain way. I was told I was out of touch with the real world, real people. Example…when a couple divorced, I looked for a reason, was told it was “the usual”… real people cheat. I suspected a different/deeper reason.

I would hope most labels are honest. I hope I come across as real. I like real friends, I believe in them. Rare and few; along with far (long time) between new, real friends. I trust if I met you, Joey, I would feel your “real self” shining through. 🙂
