Okay, I wasn’t lost at all. I was roaming around without direction, how I do when I’m on a doorscursion. I do not remember where this church was exactly, and therefore I cannot tell you anything about it.
Aw, I know, some of us really enjoy the history.
I know the area I was walking in, and this ‘church’ is not included in the map, which leads me to believe it’s not a church anymore. Leave it to me to find another not a church, eh?
Also? Churches are usually shiny clean places that encourage trespassing…

I can’t pretend I don’t want to furiously wash those windows, but they’re still gorgeous doors, and that stained glass really outdid itself, don’tcha think?

Wow. Now those are some lamps. I think the red really plays well with that stain glass. No soliciting and no trespassing, ain’t a church.

Odd. I may be wrong but I think there used to be cafe in the basement. They did a lot of vegetarian dishes. The chef split and moved to SoBro Cafe. I thought that people referred to the host building as a Church. I must find out.

Red is an unusual color for a church door but boy does it showcase the stained glass! Beautiful.

Yes, it’s very beautiful, although there was a little jolt of “recognition” at the one more unadorned door photo here. It reminded me so much of the old buildings of my childhood, especially the old high school my mom used to go to that was no longer a school when I went to preschool there and later in my early 20s when I took ballet there. I actually could feel that memory. And those doors weren’t even red!

I like the lamps and the stained glass, but I’m totally sold on those main doors. Even with the no trespassing sign, which, just sayin, probably isn’t authorized by the big guy. I hope whoever owns this place inherits a case of Windex soon. In any case, you did good, Joey.

I think that is one handsome red door and the stained glass is just gorgeous. The way the light hits the exact center is wonderful, and the glass on the sides almost look like sails. I LOVE it, wherever it is and whatever it is now. Who cares. It is just beautiful. 🙂

Since I can find any info on it without its address, I couldn’t say really. But you know Elizabeth Arden’s doors would never be so dirty, either — lipstick on a pig and all that 😉

Gorgeous doors. I suspect the No Trespassing means it is no longer a church. I’ve seen a number of churches around here with red doors. They are some of the more ornate ones I’ve seen.

Love that title, Joey. I do hope you were found eventually. 🙂 The stained glass is the stunner in this series, although the doors are great, too. Hopefully this building will be used for something again soon. It’s too lovely to leave empty.

The building has very neat brickwork, the antique lamps are awesome and the stained glass windows and arch over the red doors are gorgeous.
Yes, I “a-door” the red doors, too. ❤ I would like to get some vinegar water and newspaper to clean those glass panels in the red doors.
