Would you travel into outer space?
No way. I like the earth just fine. I find our atmosphere most agreeable to breathing. Also, in movies, astronauts are always saving lives with all this impressive math and science stuff that I don’t even understand. I have trouble adding up my time card. I saw The Martian. I would die. I don’t even think I’d make it to the potato-planting scene, okay?
Which country/city in the world (that you have never been to) would you most like to visit and why?
Ooh. Some English countryside, thank you. I think I would enjoy the landscape and the weather. So many pictures of green and rain and hills and stone and wood cute livestock and don’t the beaches always look hospitable to pale people?
What could you do to breathe more deeply today?
It’s raining and I’ve got to drive to work. Breathing deeply is required.

Last week was LONG. I’m grateful for The Mister. He’s an asshole, but he handles my bitchiness with expert finesse. I’m looking forward to the cooler weather this week and OMG NEXT WEEKEND IS ANNIVERSARY. Woot!

Houston, we have a problem. No, not the kind that requires math and science. but the kind that may require some WordPress witchcraft. I saw the link to this post on Twitter while eating lunch, but it’s NOT in my inbox. NO JOEY IN MY INBOX – that’s epic. Especially since WP says “oh, it’s OK, you’re fine, you’re already following Joey” – Yeah well, where’s the email ???

Beautiful sunflowers! I’m currently roughly 7 hours away. I wonder if they have any that pretty here.

I can’t wait for corn mazes!!!!!! We have good ones here too, just nobody to go with except my mom some times. I love my mom, but sometimes I would like to go with friends and also she isn’t always up for tromping around in corn.

This may be because I’m not crazy about either chocolate or hazelnut, and also, I’ve never had the American version, which is apparently much more sugary?

Grape jelly. I think peanut butter goes well with grape jelly. I think strawberry preserves go on toast with eggs over easy and orange marmalade for English muffins. That is my world view for jellies etc.

I usta prefer PBJ with grape, until The Mister made me one with strawberry. Then I fell in love. Now, he eats grape and I eat strawberry — how weird is that?
On toast, I like orange things best — marmalade, apricot, peach, but mostly I do butter on toast. I’ll eat any kind of jam. I had homemade fig jam in Georgia and I miss it.
English muffins with butter. Mmhm.

Your sunflowers remind me of a story of my dad’s garden. He had heard that if he planted giant sunflowers with his peas, the peas would use the sunflowers as a climbing trellis.
Every single giant sunflower grew, but not a single pea. Our backyard was a sea of yellow Triffid-like plants and our dog was afraid to go out in the backyard because of the hordes of birds that descended on the giant seed heads.

The sunflower is gorgeous, Joey. I think you would enjoy the climate over here most of the time too.
The beaches may be hospitable for pale people but humans are not! I have had a fair bit of stick these last few weeks that we have allowed to go tightness at work. The pasty, milk bottle legs have been unleashed and have been well and truly mocked by my workmates! 🙂
