#ThursdayDoors — Yep, Mostly Doors

Some of the doors from my outings over Labor Day weekend:

You know what’s funny? When you’re like, “Ooh, a fountain!” and your friend photobombs it.

You know what else is funny? When you’re lookin for doors to take pictures of, and you walk past a picture of doors.

Here are s’more doors and pretty buildings and stuff, churches and schoolhouses, that sorta thing.

Not a door or a pretty thing, but neat, right?

I think upkeep of old things is neat. But then, I enjoy photographing doors.

Egad. So many doors. So many different colors. So much Gingerbread. I especially like the Victorian pastel porch. Such a cozy little porch to sit on with friends and family. And a spot of tea or a touch of gin.

What a lovely collection of doors and other pretty things.
As for the fountain photo-bomber, well some kids just seem to crave more attention than others, eh? 😉

  5. Where were you, Joey? It was such an attractive place and I’m sure you had a blast. I also love the photo of the street. Must have been a beautiful sight.

So much to like today. I like the 1891 door a lot. It was gonna be my fav until I saw hte second group. I really like the double doors with the brass kickplates. The photobomb is precious! I wanted to get photos of a church recently, but between when I had the thought and drove back to get them, scaffolding had gone up all around. Great collection of doors today!

  7. Lovely collection, Joey. That beautiful ornate porch is my favourite. Does your photo-bombing friend know he’s been blogged around the world? Lol.

Thanks, Jean, it was a good day. That porch is pretty dreamy, I think, and the light was in my favor. I don’t know if he knows he’s gone worldwide, but ya know, there are certain risks involved in photo bombing, and he’s old enough to know that 😉

I like all the doors and pretty things. What caught my eye most, was the reflections in so many of the door’s windows! Cool! 🙂

  14. Oh gaul, I’m so guilty of photobombing friends more times than I care to admit. I just did it a couple of weeks ago. Totally by accident! My friend ran with it and made a nice photo out of it which he sent me…you did too! 🙂 Hope he likes it. It’s fun. Put a smile on my face anyway.

You scored the door Bonanza! I loved the red school house too!

A plethora of doors here! I love this. Since you started posting doors I’ve found myself more interested in the ones that I see as I’m driving around. There’s beauty and a story everywhere.

302 and 220 were my very most favorites, but you have SO MANY PRETTIES and INTERESTINGS, it’s hard to choose beyond that. Thanks for the tour!

  17. Such a wide variety of doors. I’m thinking about starting downtown, and heading outward on some of the streets with the big, old houses, and taking pictures. Especially on College Ave, which is paved with bricks.

  20. Great collection to share this week! Better tell your friend to consult a doctor; looks like he had water in his ear 🙂 You might have to take him along in the future cause this bunch of bloggers might be expecting a photo bomb in all future posts.

It’s cause I’m short and he’s tall. He had to bend in the middle to get to my level, lol! But yeah, water in the ear, you never can tell 🙂 He was fun, it was a good time 🙂

That was a great outing you had … lots of interesting stuff to photograph. My favourite door was the green one at 1893. It just shouts HOME to me 🙂
