The Motterns celebrated their working furnace by sleeping hot and then complaining about it in the morning.
We all want a break, and it’s only stupid Tuesday. Tuesday is so stupid.
I’ve never liked Tuesdays.
I’m makin tacos tonight. We need tacos. Tacos have always been there for me. Taco Tuesday to the rescue.
I am full of unexplored feelings and undeveloped thoughts. I shall temporary numb myself with a taco. And lello rice. And refried beans.
It’s only about eight hours til taco time. That’s how I’m going to look at this Tuesday — as a countdown to tacos.
Do you need a coping mechanism to get through this Tuesday, too?
Taco Tuesday sounds good to me. Maybe I’ll do the same, because …tacos…and Tuesday! 🙂

Tacos. Tasty little hand held darlings. Make mine tongue on soft a corn tortilla with a touch of cilantro and radish. Of course I don’t recall turning down any taco.

That first line cracked me up. Glad you have a working furnace. Is it still the diva or has she been replaced? Oh, and what time should I drop in for tacos?

Yay! Thanks! Still the Diva, just under $100 in repairs. We were both thrilled!
Tacos in 45 minutes! 🙂

I’m a little concerned about your taco dependence. Just kidding! 😉 Sounds like a great compensatory strategy for coping with a Tuesday. I’ll keep it in mind. Those pics look yummy! 🙂

I used to make them 2-3-4 times a week — during The Mister’s deployments — so I think I’m managing my addiction well.

Darn it, I have sausage ready for sketti, but now I want tacos. My coping mechanism is ignoring the child who is asking me for money.

Uh huh, sorry.
By the way, your coping mechanism is a cherished tradition. Surely your car needs detailed or the gutters need cleaned… 😛

I worked all day and had a good day. Tacos sound great. May have to put them on our upcoming menu. Glad to read that the furnace is working!

I love tacos. Taco Tuesday would make it a good day. I’m actually OK with Tuesdays, but tacos could improve anything.

Checking in here on Wednesday I can say that yesterday was one of the dreariest, useless days I’ve had in weeks. I should have made it Taco Tuesday, but I didn’t. Instead, I moped and half-assed my way through the day.

Oh that’s rotten. I hope today is a better day for you.

If I were still a drinker, I’d skip Tuesday and take it to Wine Wednesday.

At some point on martes, wife mumbles, “Is it taco Tuesday?” Last evening we’re off to Taqueria La Venadita. I had one huge burrito of shredded pollo with rice and beans wrapped within (bueno). Not being clever, that’s what the especial white-board said. The regular menu (on the wall) is in Spanish so only about half the customers can read it. I married a native Texan and something of a Tex-Mex food snob, who gently instructs the staff how to prepare her tacos (we’re regulars, so they know how now).

I missed Taco Tuesday!! Instead, I’m catching up on Wednesday, just thankful that this day is coming to close. It was a tough one!

I could have used tacos and a shot of tequila on Tuesday as we were all saying goodbye to my retiring boss. I hope your day was okay, that you weren’t sulking over your tacos. That would have been messy.
I laughed at the “lello” rice comment. When I was a child, I had a hard time saying yellow, so I would say lello instead. (I can remember this, but not the name of the person I was introduced to 2 minutes ago.)

I understand. No, I did not sulk over my tacos, and look, now the weekend nears. 🙂

When you are not ‘working outside the home’ the day of the week doesn’t matter much. BUT, my go-to-coping mechanism every day, twice a day, is coffee – good coffee with fresh ground beans. I do look forward to my morning and early afternoon coffee, but I think I could be coerced by those delicious looking tacos. 🙂

Haha! Tacos can be coercive 🙂 I have never been retired, so I do not know about how days of the week don’t matter. I’ve always had the kids’ school schedules to contend with. Twice a day coffee, well, that’s dreamy! 🙂
