I took some of these at night, in passing.
Then another day, I walked by in the daylight…
There are many sets, I think six, but I wouldn’t swear to it.
Definitely better in the daylight, and the front set is definitely prettiest.

Now those are doors. When they are freshly polished they are a sight to see.

Well I do hope I encounter them freshly polished sometime, then 🙂

Very nice indeed. Those sure are impressive. A lot of time I find knockers like that are overkill, but on these doors they fit right in.
Nice find and I admire your dedication to the cause by going back at various times of day to get the best shot 🙂

Thanks! No dedication required — about half the time we go downtown, I see them 🙂

Very impressive doors. I’m pretty sure you could hear those knockers throughout the building. They look big enough to tie a boat off to.

I agree on both counts 🙂

I love the grand and solid feel! And for some reason – the knockers reminded me of Scrooge and his door – maybe it is beside xmas is coming and I just saw a sign for the play!

Those doors look kind of mean to me. I’d be hesitant to pass through them! But great photos, nonetheless.

Those door knockers are great, Joey. I’d say “Great knockers” but you might get the wrong idea. 🙂

I liked the bold and masculine way those doors are built. They suit the buikding and the knockers make me think of a mansion or as someone else mentioned, “Young Frankenstein.”
I liked the marble scrolling above the framework of the door and the brass sign celebrating Indiana’s American Legion.
Joey, you did an outstanding job in photographing these! 🙂

Wow! I’m impressed! I love all the white stone with the dark, heavy doors set in them. When they’re polished, are they dark bronze or bright copper, do you know? Either way, the whole effect is magnificent!

I don’t know. Maybe I’ll catch them shined-up one day and share 🙂
