Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
It may seem I’m dipping into the shallow end this week, but everyone went back to school and it was incredibly busy and rough. I’m grateful the weekend came, for online shopping, my car that warms up quickly, my job, hot baths, and that there was no ‘ice storm’ this weekend.
This week I am looking forward to date night.

  2. Gotta keep those closet doors closed, just in case. Bad things don’t come just from slimy pods!! Glad to see that someone else writes letters or cards once in a while. I’m hoping to do more of them this year. Love the cat shot and I hope you’re having a wonderful Monday. Enjoy date night. We went to the hockey game last night and it was marvelous.

No to the hotel shampoo and conditioners? I must confess–I always take them. Get a free hair wash at home!

If we didn’t save our phobias for therapy, what on earth would the therapists talk about?? 🙂

Well isn’t this one a little nosy Parker. I can’t remember the last time I spent the night in a Hotel/ Motel. When I did with a certain degree of regularity I did take them. What can I say. I am in bed by 11. Then up every 2 hours. I don’t use Post it notes anymore. I am a big fan of writing cards and such to people, cuz I can. I used to be 6’1. Phobias? I don’t think so. I leave the closet door open. I don’t want the bogey man messing up my clothes when he tries to get out. Enjoy your weekend and say Hey to the Mister for me.

      The Mister says hi back.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking them, I just have hair issues.
Better feng shui to close all doors, but I can barely turn a knob in the night. The Boogey Man would totally have time to get me! 🙂 My closet doors are sliders, so it’s safer! lol

  6. I worked for hotels. I only take the products if they’re unique or special. ❤️ I stayed at a beach hotel that had installed pump dispensers on the shower wall, holding enough for quite a few guests. Seemed like a smart move to me, might be seeing more of them in the future ?

Interesting. Hmm, I wonder. More convenient for people with bad hands, too.

      • The bonus…it was one of those “3 in 1” products, shampoo with conditioner and bath soap.It had a lovely, clean scent, very unlike those products with heavy cologne in the men’s shampoo aisle. I checked. There is no such for women…I’d buy it if there were.

I’ve only seen that sorta thing for kids, and too many of them are colored. We bought one for Moo, dye-free and whatnot and it made her hair oily. :/ I hope such a thing comes out, really doing a good job overall, with a clean scent. I’d try it.

  7. I’ve never taken the shampoo from a hotel room but that’s because I prefer my own rather than because of any moral issues

I think there’s a 12-step program for the Post-it Note thing – they are addictive. Kudos on the actual paper note we dhould do that more often.

Like you, I prefer my own hair product and even usually travel with my own soap, but many years ago one of my nieces introduced me to the practice of taking the soap, shampoo, etc from a stay at a hotel and collecting them to give to women’s shelters. I loved the idea and did it for a while along with the various samples that come with cosmetic promotions … but simply stopped a while ago. Now I’m feeling guilty about that.

That IS a fantastic idea! Don’t feel guilty, just start again and pass it on to others like me who never even thought of it.

Yeah, this hair has … it’s hectic. It needs things.
