Um… but what IS it?? Y’know, for those of us who maybe call the thing in the picture something else?

This is why, between the upper story and the roof, we have an adduct. This is why, beneath the lower story, we have a base-ump. This is why, between the porch and the front room, we have a bestibugle. And this is why the space under the kitchen counter that was supposed to be for a kitchen stool but was where #4 Daughter sat and read while I cooked is still called the bi-berry. 🙂

the peace sign in the photo adds something – I am super grateful for the hot box I have for our chilly bonus room – it should have a bow on it….

We had a space heater in our apartment in Chicago, and our first cat used to sleep under it.

I thought a ‘hot box’ was where the enemy confined us in POW camp when we behaved contrary to their plans, or wanted us to sweat. Also, the sauna at the gym.

Very catchy. If I had a hot box it would be grossly neglected. It’s so hot in my apartment I can’t stand it. Is Wednesday being kind to you?

Hot boxes are great. They make you feel so cozy. They always remind me of the kerosene heater in Grandpa’s farm house. Of course without the smell.

  13. That works. 🙂 We bought a great space heater from Costco once. We gifted it to our younger daughter when she needed it. When it’s cold like that, I really miss the word-burning stove we had in Cleveland!!

Don’tcha just love family words and phrases? We still call hamburgers “hangurbers” from when my eldest was a toddler. 😀

Hot boxes are the bane of my husband’s existence. I should run into the bedroom/office and crank it up right now. >:-)

Hot box… Okay! So… Well. I didn’t know what it was from the picture (we don’t need them in India). But well, if I had one – I would probably be lost in its warmth. True.
