Our friend Beefy posted this little thing on Facebook the other day, and my reply was, “This looks like a great way for The Mister and I to bicker with one another for 10-20 minutes! How romantic!”
In honor of Valentine’s Day, all couples: Make this your status for fun and answer honestly.
Who’s older?
Him
Apparently he was in a big, fat hurry to get here and I played hard to get
Who was interested first?
Me, but then him and then me and then him, and well, that went on sometimes not at all and also for over a decade
How long have you been together?
Depends on when you start counting, we’re gonna go with November 98
Married?
Yes
Happily, even
More sarcastic?
Him
Right, he’s more sarcastic
Who makes the most mess?
We’re not messy, but he says me, cause cooking, and I say him, cause van
Who has more tattoos?
Not a single tattoo between us
Better singer?
Him
I can sing, but he can SING
Hogs the remote?
I’m in charge of the bedroom remote and THAT’S THAT
Better driver?
Me
That’s right, ME, and I don’t even have a penis
Spends the most?
Me
Without my spending, we would all wear old fatigues, sleep on piles of out-of-circulation Runner’s World magazines, and eat only when offered food or whatever. So yes, All The Spending Are Belong To Me.
Smarter?
“Who’s smarter?”
The Mister looked up at the ceiling, “It depends,” he said.
I said, “I am, because I don’t have to think about it.”
Most common sense?
He says he has more common sense because I think on a higher level. I think that’s poetry. *swoon*
What are your middle names?
Michael and Allen
And a whole buncha people just went OH!
Whose siblings do you see most often?
His sibling, cause I don’t have any
Do you have any children together?
Yes
We also have children apart, because when you have children ONE TIME, you have them forever, no matter where they go
Did you go to the same school?
Yes, for one year
Who is the most sensitive?
He says him. According to Moo, I am the kind of sensitive for when they’re sick and he’s the kind of sensitive that gets butt-hurt.
Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Los Rancheros
They have quesoeverything there
Where is the farthest you two have traveled together?
Florida
We had to think about that one for awhile, but yes, we’re sure
Who has the worst temper?
Me
The girls didn’t think so, but he and I both know it’s me
Who does the cooking?
Me
We love that.
Who is more social?
Him
He makes all the friends
Who is the neat freak?
Neither of us, no matter what they say
Who is the most stubborn?
Neither of us
Who hogs the bed?
“I do not hog the bed!”
“Right. Sassy, how often do you hear Daddy tell me to PLEASE GO BACK TO MY OWN SIDE OF THE BED?”
“Never. And I’ve never heard him tell you to roll over, either.”
He does sometimes hog the bed
Who wakes up earlier?
Him
My waking up first is a bad omen
Where was your first date?
St. Elmos, on our wedding night
Who has the bigger family?
Him
I have a large family, but good gravy!
Do you get flowers often?
I do!
I got flowers yesterday, because we are both sick. That’s fair, yeah?
Who does the laundry?
Me
I’m the only one who can hear the laundry calling
Who’s better with the computers?
Me
I know, right?
Who drives when you are together?
99.9% Him
Who picks where you go to dinner?
Me
HE NEVER EVER PICKS A RESTAURANT!
We did bicker a bit, but we mostly agreed. Celebrate love EVERY day, y’all!

So many questions. So many great answers. However: “Where was your first date?
St. Elmos, on our wedding night” confuses me. Did you not date prior to your wedding? Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

We did not date before our wedding. We had known one another a long, long time.

Love your answers. One time I got a second remote and programmed it to the same television. Then we had remote wars.

AHAHA! But is it on video? 😛 We’re pretty agreeable, considering I don’t watch much tv 😉

No video. One time, in a different career, I had to bring home equipment that included walkie talkies. I hid one behind the toilet that led to tons of fun. There were screams involved.

LMAO! Am I slap happy or is that hilarious?!? OMG. I think you should share that with us sometime!

It’s a pretty old story from two careers ago. It was funny though.

This is lovely, you two are. ❤ Kinda want to answer these myself now but I'd need a friend for this who'd listen. None around. (I know, many far.)

Thanks! Y’all should take the quiz even without anyone but Bestia listening. Could be good times 🙂

Love that, Joey! My husband told me when we met that we would never celebrate Valentine’s Day because it was Valentine’s Day every day for him now that he knew me. I know…
With our kids, born in the US, it was hard to not celebrate at least a little.
This year with no kids home my husband will cook us a nice dinner (we are the other way than your couple) and I will prepare the dessert.
Sending love from my home to yours.

Aw thanks! And hey, that’s a super sweet, romantic thing your husband feels! ❤
Enjoy your dinner!

Aw, SO SWEET!!! Charlie and I never do Valentine’s Day. Well, I went to the grocery alone, because he was doing something (we usually go together), so I looked for something ‘pecial for him. But I couldn’t find kipper snacks and he’s tired of Limburger cheese, so I got some jowl bacon and cooked some for lunch. Is that romantic, or what?

That is some kinda special romance, there. We behaved similarly. I stopped at Walgreens for tissues he can take to work. Imma order a pizza now, breadsticks an’ errrything. Can you even believe this love? LOL

So the youngest just looked at me and said, “You look happy.” See what you did? You made me happy. But I do have a question…. your first date was your wedding day? Please clarify.
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m glad I gave you a smile 🙂 We did not date. We did not go anywhere out and about alone until that night. We had known one another for a long, long time, didn’t really need to date, per se.

And yet, you are still together. Must have been just fine. I thought your comment on being born after him was the best.

Well, when you think about dating as ‘getting to know you’ we didn’t need to do that.

Sweet! Happy V-day! Mine didn’t go so well. I didn’t connect the mixer properly and so potential chocolate pot du creme wound up all over the kitchen. I’ve been cleaning chocolate off cabinets for hours!

Dang, Jan! That sounds like something that would happen to me/I would do. Ours is a regular ol Tuesday.

OK, the judges need some clarification on this one: your FIRST DATE was also your wedding night?? How the heck did you swing that one, what with the decade-dance of back-and-forthing flirtation?!
LikeLiked by 2 people
Yes. We just didn’t date. After being friends for a long, long time, we fell in love through letters. We didn’t need to ‘try eachother on’ they way people do when they date.

Ahh. Gotcha! Seemed a bit too implausibly coincidental, to imagine that it was an arranged marriage, and the matchmaker just happened to guess super lucky!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, that WOULD be something. Many would want that matchmaker’s number!

I don't dare do this with Gilles. I'm pretty sure our responses to a couple of those questions would be highly contentious 😉
