When you cut something with scissors, do you move your jaw (as if you were about to chew)?
I don’t. But I did after I read the question.
Do you chew your pens and pencils?
I do not.
Are you a collector of anything? If so what?
I officially collect Fiesta. We use it every day and like so many other things, my love for it grows more each day.
We kinda collect books here, too.
I have multitudes of fabric, paper/stationery/stickers, handmade art…
I’m also gathering what appears to be quite a collection of scarves and socks…
I’m not certain all collections are intentional. Some things seem to come to us, don’t they?
And we have to be careful when we say we collect something, because saying so implies we want more, and we’re often persnickety…
What size is your bed?
It is a queen.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Saturday was some kinda wonderful. On Saturday, we seldom left our bed. I took the dog out, I made coffee, but then I went back to lounge in bed. I took a bath and went back to bed. We went out and got sammiches and came home to EAT THEM IN OUR BED. We read and watched tv and movies all day and all night. Children and pets came and went depending, but it was truly a day of rest. Delicious.
We usta do that regularly. A long time ago. Like, three houses and two children ago.
I don’t know what the weather’s like in your area, but here, it’s sublime, and nowhere near wintery. Yesterday we hit the White Water Trails along Fall Creek.
I sweated, but couldn’t even bring myself to complain. I was too glad to be fully ambulatory and breathing through my nose. I always love those out-of-season days, don’t you? Like when you get a high of 70 in August? It always feels like a treat. Everyone was talking about the weather yesterday, especially the birds. This week it’s supposed to be unseasonably warm and I look forward to open windows and longer walks with Sadie.

What’s going on in your world?
“When you cut something with scissors, do you move your jaw (as if you were about to chew)?”
This is a thing?? Enough of a thing to ask about in a survey, I mean? Like, RLY?! Since when did this become a thing??? #soconfused

Yeah, I think it’s enough of a thing to ask, like do you make an O with your lips when you deal with your mascara or contacts, or how about all those people who need their tongue out to think or focus harder? 😛

HUH. The things we learn… 🙂

Your collections sound very much like my own — inadvertent and as circumstance dictates.

I’m glad you had a relaxing Saturday. After being sick, that’s often a very good thing. Unseasonably warm here too, but cold in the forecast.

I like all the colours of your Fiesta! I envision a changing colour every day depending on my mood 🙂
I’m not a stay-in-bed kind of person. Even when I’m sick, I can’t stay in bed. When I wake up, I NEED to get up.

Thank you 🙂
I am fairly consistent in choosing yellow and green dishes…we kinda all have our preferred ones.
A lot of people say that, about needing to be up and about. I think it’s relative. I can’t do that once a week, but I could probably commit to it once a month. Relaxing doesn’t come easy for me, and when it does, I gotta go with it 🙂

I can relate to the part about not being able to relax. It’s hard to sit still for very long … although the periodic TV binge-watching does feel pretty good 😉

These are random questions, so I totally dig it. I’ve never heard of the scissor/chewing thing. That’s really weird. I mean, is that a THING people do? Weird.

I’m still waiting for anyone to answer yes, but I’ve seen small children do it, along with all kindsa odd inactive energy quirks, so surely someone will confess?
I’m really waiting for anyone to say they stick their tongue out or hum when they use scissors, because I know a few of those 😛

I’m jealous of your dishes! I’ve always admired the Fiesta stuff and thought “one of these days…” but haven’t bought any yet. Maybe one of these days.
Your Saturday sounds amazing! Much more relaxing than taking the kids to Sports Connection and Chuck E Cheese 😀

Thank you! I do so love them.
It was amazing. Our days of Chuck E Cheese are over, we refused with the last two kids. Sports Connection, though, that sounds like something better…

Sports Connection is awesome — laser tag, arcade games, bowling, bounce houses, ropes course, climbing wall, etc. Pricey, though. We can do Chuck E Cheese for $20, and that place will set us back $80 easily.

Ooh! Uh huh. Pricey. But it does sound fun! I’d stay away from the arcade. I don’t know how much money the boy one has spent in arcades, but I feel it would be frightening to acknowledge an actual amount. 😛

The weather is beautiful here too, Joey, but it’s going to end after Wednesday’s high of 60. I’ll be at work, but the south-facing window will be open and I plan on a long walk at lunch time.
I love, love, love your Fiesta dishes…the myriad of colors. I always wanted a set and maybe one day in the future I will. Life’s too short to eat everything on a boring white plate.

Thank you! I do so enjoy my Fiesta and you should totally get some. They do add fun 🙂
I think our weather’s supposed to hold out til Friday. I sure hope we get to enjoy it!

Joey, just LOVE that picture! I wanted to BE there. Here the weather is a lot warmer then normal and in fact I have bulbs popping up. It both looks and feels like March! Here too I will have windows open this week …. YAYAYAYAY! I collect books. I really cannot say if I collect anything else right now, just so busy caring for our precious cats and helping out with the barn cats and horse too. I sleep in a King size bed and sometimes that is not big enough with all the fur guys that end up on it. You would not believe you much a cat can stretch out! LOL I don’t chew on my pens put I do put the cap in my mouth when I think. I have to watch my teeth because of dental work on them so am very careful with them. When I was very ill some of my teeth cracked and broke so I had to have some of them rebuilt. Plastic is not as tough as tooth enamel. (smile) I look forward in getting out in my gardens and getting the 5 pounds off that I gained over winter and really get back into shape. *sigh* With age being in shape is not the same as it used to be in youth. Yep, still have a bit of vanity left. LOL Now that I chatted your ear off, see ya!!! 🙂 ❤

I appreciate you chatting my ear off 🙂
I enjoyed reading about your poignant care of the critters over at your place. I gain weight every winter, too, vanity be damned, snuggling up with a warm bowl of comfort food is one of winter’s great joys.

I do believe you are my type of woman! LOL The portions I eat of said comfort food, snuggling with my babes as I watch movies and read books, all make for me being stuffed into jeans. Yet come every Spring I face very hard work in my gardens leaving me staggering on my way to heavenly bed. And so those 5 pounds disappear. 😅

I just love Fall Creek. When I was very young my Dad and I would go fishing in it. I drive the Park Way whenever I have an excuse. That’s the way I go to get to the first born’s house in Geist. The only thing I intentionally collect are nutcrackers. I can’t afford the old ones anymore so now I look for the modern reproductions. Just as charming. However I have been picking up a small collection of Revere pots and pans whenever I am at a second hand store. I love Fiesta ware. I can’t remember the last time I lazed in bed all day. Don’t think my back could take it. Just another quirk of aging. Hope you have a Happy week;and remember Wednesday is National Margarita Day.

Ooh, margarita! *she says while she sips coffee*
I remember you collect the nutcrackers 🙂
Revere copper bottoms, right? I can see the appeal.
You know what’s tremendous about that Saturday we spent in bed? We slept so well that night. Then, the next day, we were out in the fresh air, sunshine, walking long, and we slept like crap — and that is NOT how it’s supposed to work! lol
Happy Tuesday, Benson 🙂

Fiesta is cheery. I love that. Don’t know why I’ve never bought any of it. Maybe in my next life I’ll get some. 😉

Isn’t it lovely to have an unexpectedly sunny and warm day? We had one yesterday and I noticed some daffies in a patient’s garden. Spring is on its way it seems!
I love your brightly coloured crockery, by the way, Joey! 🙂

Thank you, Judy, it is a nice bit of cheer 🙂
Daffies already there? I’ve got tulip pips, am mildly concerned they’ll come out too early…

I love tulips too. Yes, it is worrying as the weather can change drastically so quickly.

It’s so wonderful to have an unexpected lovely day of weather. I don’t have any Fiesta dishes, but they look so vibrant. I think I’d be partial to the aqua colored ones. 🙂

Peacock is especially cheerful, I think. Of course, that may be because I only have two pieces…
I tend to choose the yellow and greens 🙂

I like sweating in the winter on walks where no snow is evident, Joey!
I also miss sleeping and hanging out in bed all day. The guy I date and like a lot stays in bed a lot on weekends except to get a shower and take me out for dinner and last weekend, we made a big puzzle. I like your “cozy Saturdays.” Whenever my three children had snow days, we had all day pajama parties.
