Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
No. But in college, I pushed the button again if the light on the panel went dim. My dorm elevator was wonky. It had a bad memory. I don’t know if it helped the elevator remember, but it helped me.
Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (for example if you are visiting a big city you don’t know?)
If I’m visiting a new city, I plan so that I have a place to sleep. I AM a planner, but I don’t like itineraries for play. Planned fun isn’t.
Describe yourself in at least four uplifting words.
insightful, hopeful, playful, creative
If you had a choice which would be your preference salt water beaches, fresh water lakes, ocean cruise, hot tub, ski resort or desert?
If I can have the salt water beach on a cool, cloudy day, I’ll take that. Otherwise, skiing sounds good.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful for lots of downtime over the weekend, as well as a visit from some of my favorite people ever, and of course, carrot cake.
I’ve got a busy, busy week ahead, virtually non-stop til Sunday. I’m looking forward to more time with The Mister, Moo’s choral competition, and the part when Sassy will perform before the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra — There will be Rachmaninoff, and we will dine out after.
Cee’s Share Your World is a weekly feature and all are welcome to join in and play along.
What’s going on in your world?
You’re right, planned fun usually isn’t all that fun. Have a great week, even if busy. 🙂

“Planned fun isn’t.”
No truer words. Friend sometimes want us to go on cruises, and all I can think of is how much I’d dislike being with a whole bunch of people going on planned excursions to have fun. 0.o

Ditto.
Also, I believe in sea monsters and overall, don’t like boats 😛

Oh my. You are busy? Where is Sassy performing? I like the four descriptors you used to describe yourself. My dorm in college had no elevator, so double pushing wasn’t a problem. When I used to travel I usually planned ahead as far as how to survive. I agree “planned fun” is anything but. I gotta’ say though going into a strange city to live knowing no one and with minimal planning can be fun. I went downhill skiing once. Fractured my ankle. Great fun. I know you won’t agree but I like the ocean and the desert. So great share. Have fun and pace yourself. It isn’t a dash. It is a marathon.

Fractured ankle. Ooher.
Thank you 🙂
I will message you about Sass.

I don’t like planned fun either. Although I’m trying to plan enough for the Europe trip to be sure that I have transportation to some places I’d like to see.
I’m definitely beach… clouds are fine as long as the breeze holds off. I get cold way too easily. I’ve been know to sit at the beach wrapped in my hoodie while my family frolicked in the ocean. lol

Haha, oh Amy, when you say things like that, I can feel your homesickness!
I definitely think that when you plan to see specific places or to travel while traveling, planning is preferred 🙂

Sounds like a good, if busy week, and I’m all about cheesecake!! I’m a planner, but my planning for fun might simply be ideas of what we might do somewhere or how to fit in the things we decide to do. If tickets, travel, etc. are involved, there has to be some planning. But over-planning is certainly out!

I agree, certain things require planning, pricing and schedules dictate that. I rarely make cheesecake, and when I do, I make lots, because oh, time-consuming!

Performing before the Symphony?! How exciting! Your family is all musically inclined? Sadly, I am not. But I wish I were!

She will be among the students chosen to play as people take their seats 🙂
I spose most of us are musically inclined. Talent, on the other hand, is rarer among us 😉

I’m more of a researcher than a planner. I like to say, “A, B, & C are cool.” Then the group will say, “Let’s do B.” And I’m okay with that.

Ah, that’s often my role as well. I research and present.

I absolutely dislike people who keep pressing the elevator button – often it breaks and then the elevator is down till it can be fixed! It is my new hobby to tell people off at work – good way to let off the steam; been so irritable since last couple of weeks.

Your uplifting words list is nice. Playful is great and can bring an awful lot of fun to one’s day, especially if others around aren’t expecting it. 🙂
Have a blessed day.

Hope the kids have a great week with their activities. 🙂 When I was in SC, the elevator numbers were rather low so that they were handicap accessible. One day I went to hit ‘1’ and mistakenly hit the emergency button right below it. I about scared myself to death. 🙂

Back when I went to the University of South Carolina, I lived in one of the oldest dorms on campus. The elevator was very slow and prone to break down. It was faster to take the stairs.

I always plan a place to stay, and have a “must see & do” list, but love the things found and seen along the way. Beach, and/or the Forest for me.
I hope the girls events are wonderful and hope for more carrot cake for you. 🙂

Sometimes I push twice (bad sign, I’m late or pissed). Uplifting–old airline pilot, happy elevator operator, helpful forklift driver, driven weight lifter. Who else is in the hot tub? I know it shouldn’t matter, but it does. Got over crud last week, and hoping to learn more about poetry next week.
