Given the sublime weather today — Oh Sunshine, we missed you! So nice of you to bring along some sixties, too! — I didn’t get up and have coffee and stare at my trees and blog or anything of a usual sort. No, today started with Tab, goat cheese pizza, and wrangling my hair…
… for OUT & ABOUT!
What a great day to run around and do fings!
We picked up Master Boombastic. I missed Master Boombastic’s street, and hadda turn around. All I can say is that the skies were blue as blue can be, sun shinin, trees all blossomy, green grass with the smell of wild onion. I was distracted.
I had the windows down and I was singin…
OOO OOO OOO oo oo ooo OO OO, Do ya know it? No? Oh well.
I was deliriously happy, smilin, and totally mighta driven west forever had no one corrected me.
I was doin that thing where I thank God I don’t live in Georgia anymore. Bein grateful to be home with spring all asplendor. The grass is just SO GREEN.
Spring is giving its all. Everything is greening and budding and I am ready to welcome it.
Then we did the doorscursion. Doors, doors, doors.
Remember this place?
Yeah, we hadda go in there and see what that was all about, and it’s awfully adorable. I had to buy a Posh Peanuts adult coloring book and a copy of Runny Babbit. Had to.
The teenagers enjoyed the book shop, cause it reminds them of last week when they were wee.
BUT! The best part was the rock machine. Check it:
For those of you who don’t know, Moo is a rock collector. Someday, Moo may need more storage for her rocks and her daughter may say she has too many rocks.
Then we hadda get some cupcakes at The Flying Cupcake. You remember that place, too, right?
Mmhm. We ate all the cupcakes. No photos availble.
Then we went to the grocery store so we could have gringa tacos for dinner.
Damn good day. Gratitude abounds.
Stream of Consciousness Saturday — SoCS ‘Give/Given/Giving’ is brought to you by LindaGHill and my iPhone
So, Joey you are the master of challenges! Combining SoCS and A to Z is pretty cool. Love the bakery place! Even without the cupcakes. And tacos would be my last meal on earth if i could pick. With lots of lime and cilantro.

Thanks, but Linda makes it much easier, cause she sets the Saturday prompts in April 🙂

All the fings seems pretty cool. I wish I had that Peanuts coloring book. I’m a Peanuts fan and I’d be allllll over dat fing. But it’d go in my collection and I’d never color in it. 🙂 The rock jar looks cool, I’d so give up quarters for some of those. Then there’s cupcakes…flying right into ma mouth. What a beautiful day, I’m so happy for you and yours!
(also, ahhh-choo! for all the spring fings blooming)

Sounds like an amazing day! So glad you were able to get out. 😀
Despite the fact that nothing is growing here yet, I did get into the spirit by changing my photo on my blog – we had the same idea for that one, didja notice? 😀

What an awesome day! So much to comment on! First, your photo is so cute! I’m glad you had a just right spring day, and got to go looking for doors, and cupcakes! I love Stars On 45! We’ve listened to that since way back. Tell Moo, you go girl, with the rock collection. I collect them, too, and never have enough. Top the day off with tacos…well, that’s just the taco on top of a wonderful day. 🙂

YAY! Someone knows Stars on 45! 😀 It’s the sound of being 6 and roller skating for me. I don’t know why Sassy loves it. Maybe it’s genetic, my mother loves it, too. Moo has loved rocks since before she could talk, I don’t see her giving them up, ever. ❤

We have the actual vinyl of Stars on 45, and listen sometimes.:) I think my grandson takes after me with the rock collecting. He’s been finding them and also buying them for a long time, and he’s only 7! He also does rock painting, as a little side business to make some $$ … We actually got a couple in the mail yesterday…our Easter present from him! It’s fun to find out what kind of rocks you have. My dad had a rock tumbler, and did that for awhile. They turn out so pretty!

Omg. I had not seen the Flying Cupcake post before now. Intrigued by the word, RAW on the board, I had to look it up and then go to their website which made me mouth water. I actually think I smelled cupcakes looking at the menu. I don’t do sugar often, but I might just have to look this place up next time I’m in Indy visiting my grand kids.

They are fantastic. You really should check it out — and let me know if you’re in town! We might could meet up there 🙂

Your weather is more springlike than ours is. Therefore your photos make me jealous. Also that rock dispenser is the bomb. I like everything about it. So, jealous again. 😉

I just wrote to someone else last week, how her spring looked more springy than mine, so maybe this is your week to have spring pop out? 🙂

You certainly had a full day. That rock machine looks great. I am a long time fan of Shel Silverstein. Great cartoonist as well as writer. The weather was so beautiful yesterday it nearly hurt. Tab? I had no idea that was still being made. The first wife was addicted to it. Personally the only Cola I drink has bourbon in it; but hardly ever for breakfast. Enjoy

Hardly ever for breakfast 😉 Heh.
I loooove Shel Silverstein, but we didn’t have this one. I don’t know why.
It was a big day, and today was as well. Good weather! 😀 Course, tomorrow it’s back to rain and storms…

A ROCK MACHINE! Where has that been all my life?? #4 Daughter would have gotten a job at 4 years old to make money for that! What’s a gringa taco? The kind of taco Yanquis make? Great pictures, Joey! I enjoyed runnin’ around town (vicariously) with you guys. Sounds like a great day. It’s warming up here, too, but Derby Day is coming, which is usually (but not always) cool and wet. Ugh.

Thanks! Yeah, this weekend’s weather was dreamy. And now the storms come back tomorrow.
Gringa taco is made with turkey and when we have soft shells, they’re flour. Cause Murica! 😉

We’re much behind you as far as growing things but I had the same sort of sublime spring day. I love the idea of rocks rather than rot-your-teeth gum or candy in the machine. I, too, have been known to collect rocks and when our daughters were younger, we bought a rock tumbler. Fun but very noisy!
Happy Sunday!

A delightful day ! Good to respect those rock heads…we have a few in the family, and it usually works out well. By the way…what exactly makes those tacos “gringa” ???
LikeLiked by 1 person
It really was 🙂 My gringa tacos are made with ground turkey, and when we have soft shells, they’re flour. They’re not authentic, but they’re tasty 🙂

It looks like spring is quite lovely there! I would have been distracted too. 🙂 It sounds like a wonderful way to spend a sunny day. That rock dispenser is awesome. The girlie quite often collects rocks. She’d be lining up the quarters for a machine like that.

Damn good day indeed! I loved the framed filled with all those pink blossoms on the tree, and that sweet white blossom.
Um, NO. You can’t have too many rocks! There’s always a place for a rock. I collect em too. I have friend who bring me rocks too. 🙂 I can’t tell how many times I’ve had to walk away from rocks. My pack would weight more than it already does if I brought home every rock that called me.
That green and purple pair Moo picked up were lovely! Great combo with good vibes in them.
