When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?
Pen. I bout can’t stand pencils. Their scratchy noise annoys me.

 

Would you rather be an amazing dancer or an amazing singer?
I can sing and dance okay, and would rather be an amazing musician. If I were an amazing musician, I would stay home and worship myself, I swear. I’d be terrible proud. No one could stand me and my unholy self-awe.

 

If you were on a debate team, what subject would you relish debating?
It is perhaps our years of speech and debate that allow The Mister and I to drive each other crazy keep our minds and tongues sharp. On that note, I’ll say I can debate either side of any argument, but I am particularly talented at pointing out inconsistencies and hypocrisy in the arguments of others.
At this time, the cognitive dissonance of certain sub-sets of the religious right seems a field rich in material.

 

What are you a “natural” at doing?
Reading energy.

 

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m immensely grateful I’m healing. I don’t feel rotten and I merely look like a mildly icky blistering human now, as opposed to last week when I thought my own lymph nodes would strangle me and I should’ve been hidden away from society.
I’m loving spring, its bulbs and weeds and clusters of colorful trees — grateful my apple trees and lilacs are blooming.
I’m grateful we finally got all the paperwork to file our taxes and didn’t need an extension.
Honorable mentions go to air-conditioning, fresh sheets, and banana pudding.

 

This week coming up has highlights aplenty for me. It may sound boring to you, but I have ZERO errands to run this week, and that makes me positively giddy.

    If I will not need to erase, a good pen is best for me. While I envy even mediocre singers, I prefer dance cuz it’s more for me: feel the music and the moves. I debate on capital punishment and things spiritual, but best if I have no emotional attachment to the topic. Glad I am keeping up with NaPoWriMo, worried about next week.

      You’ve performed admirably, don’t worry about it. I can’t believe you just leapt into poetry and that’s the result. Reminds me of another blogger who took up painting and his talent was BOOM! Where you been?!? Y’all are a pair, if you ask me.

    Glad you’re feeling better, and I’d LOVE to be able to cut a rug without being drunk/feeling stupid. As for debate? I usually am trying to deb-plain to my kids about why running in the house is a bad idea, why clothes are necessary (without having to go into too much detail as to what could happen to an unfettered penis while running in the house), why it’s ok to sometimes have popcorn in the living room, watermelon is very different…..

      LOL! I don’t have much of that anymore 🙂
      Although, yesterday, we left Moo alone with the ham in the oven and I said, “If it catches on fire, don’t open the oven. Take the pets out and call the fire department.” She was like, “Well yeeeeeah, glad you think I’m stupid.” All I could think to say was, “I’m your mother. I am required.”

    Would love to be able to walk again properly, and would nudge that right into dancing if at all possible. Singing I already have well enough for my purposes in choir – yesterday I ended up the sole soprano on a three-part harmony piece with NO notice, and I guess God didn’t want horrible noise in church at Easter, so it was okay. I was grateful.

    For writing, my special gel pens, Zebra 2-something, for which I have 10-20 pens and at least 100 refills. SMOOTH.

    Oh, the joys of zero errands! Pure bliss!! I love your flower shots and am a pen person as well, unless doing crossword puzzles. Then a mechanical pencil is the ticket, that and a really good eraser. 🙂

    I prefer both pens and pencils. When I am writing something roughly I use pencil, when I’m writing something important I prefer pen.

    I am so happy you are healing up and that the sores are bearable, Joey. I am sure you would let us know if they weren’t since you know there are others out there who appreciate your speaking up and making them feel “welcome” among the public.
    I am very appalled, as many are, with the way perfectly “normal seeming” people who act like they are “smart” have the craziest ideas about climate change, pollution and environment. I would love to hear you go on about the religious right.
    My Dad, when I was almost 4 years old, told me I could stay up to see the Miss America pageant if I could give him “four good reasons” but also added they were “points” or supporting remarks for my interest in staying up late. I was never on the debate team but many of my friends throughout my life (including boyfriends) will attest to our intense dinner debates. We don’t like talking about the weather or the grass level, no sir! My one good adult friend still laughs and tells me she could not believe the swear words my Dad let off when he was putting up a tent for us for an outdoor craft fair. She then always adds, “Your Mom didn’t bat an eye and after his rant, she asked him, “When you are done carrying on and making a spectacle of yourself, Bob, do you mind going to Jolly Pirates and getting us four coffees and a dozen donuts?” (My Dad sweetly stopped ranting and took our cream and sugar orders, as well as Nancy and my favorite donut orders.) Although, not a debate it is an example of my radical and weird Dad, Joey. Hugs xo

      Your dad sounds like good people, Robin 🙂 He sounds a lot like The Mister!
      I don’t know why people are weird about herpes — I read 90-some% of Americans have it and have no symptoms. Well, those lucky bastards! Hah!
      Course, I’ve never been interested in polite discourse.
      I’ve gone off on the religious right before and I’m sure I’ll do it again. They make for easy targets. That sub-set of people who contradict themselves at every turn — do they even have brains?!? Supposing their god made the earth, do they think their god is like, “Wreck it, mankind! Wreck it good!”
      ??? Wonders never cease.

    I really don’t like arguing or debating and avoid it like the plague. Like you, I’d rather pick out all the inconsistencies and such like, too. And you know you just jinxed yourself with saying you have zero errands to run this week, right? It’s inevitable. You’ll have to go SOMEwhere. Haha. ♥

    I would love to see you debate the religious right…inconsistencies and all.
    It’s trying to be springy here, but the leaves on the trees have yet to make an appearance. I see buds, so it’s coming. My favorite shade of green is that of the trees when they first leaf out.

    glad you are healing up – and loved the honorable mentions – esp. fresh sheets – oh my that’s a good one…
    and I am a pen gal – but some “softer” pencils can be quiet – but they are hard to see on the paper….

    I’m good at reading energy, too. Didn’t think of that to add to my list of “natural” abilities. I usually understand people better than they understand themselves. Love the daffodil photos.

    No-errand weeks are absolutely perfect! And, there’s not much better than having both air conditioning AND banana pudding. That sounds pretty much like Heaven to me. 🙂

    I prefer pen too, but normal pencils don’t bother me. It’s those mechanical pencils with the squeaking (like nails on a chalkboard!) and for some reason all my kids love them.
