Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?
If I’m thirsty, I need water. Ice water with a lil apple cider vinegar is best.
Complete this sentence: Never In My Life Have I…ridden a unicorn
If you could be given any gift what would it be?
I dunno. My friends brought me pot roses last night and those are lovely. I like things that grow, things that smell good, things that are tasty, and things that are comfy.
What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?
Since I started sleeping with earplugs, I usually fall asleep faster and sleep without waking, but on a rare night, sleeplessness does still visit. Tossing and turning is likely. I’ll sometimes focus on my breathing and that’ll do it. If I still can’t sleep, I’ll get up and do stuff til I’m tired again. There are nights I work myself into a fit about why I’m not sleeping, and start to worry over the dread I’ll feel the next day, or wonder how sick I’ll be — ooh, panic loop — and when that happens, I’ll take a pill.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were happy days for me. I am most grateful for my family and friends. My gratitude in living here doesn’t seem to wane.
My tulips have more or less come and gone now, and it was such a joy to have them.
The weather in the week coming up indicates fear of a freeze is over, overnight lows mostly in the 50s, and I look forward to planting perennial and annual flowers and herbs as well as setting out some of my seedlings to harden.
Cee’s Share Your World is a weekly feature and all are invited to join in and play along.
What’s going on in your world?
Water is best. I’ve never tried it with Apple Cider Vinegar, unless the Mrs. snuck some in there. I normally add a bit of lemon or lime juice.

I second the citrus fruits, too. Apple cider vinegar keeps heartburn away for me, and apparently it’s good in 5000 ways or somethin, I dunno, but I’ve become fond of it. 🙂

All our tulips have died off. The squirrels ate the bulbs or sumpin. So it goes. When I can’t sleep, I try thinking of things in alphabetical order, like five movie titles that start with A and so on, or five female literary characters whose first or last names start with A and so on. It generally works. Or I think about designing a tiny house. Entertaining and soporific.

I usta play games like that when I was younger, now I can’t seem to relax. Next thing you know I’m up with paper and a pen! DRAWRING! LOL
My squirrels seem to enjoy the darker/ black/ purpler tulips most. Then the white. I don’t think they’ve eaten a single red one, and the pinks and oranges are doing well. I add more every year and will be stickin to the warm hues for further plantings!

I think some bulbs must taste better.
Note: post some drawrings for Marian. I post bits here and there. I’ve shared two painted arts in my house and a doodle, at least.

Love the flowers. One of my offspring gave me a rose bush for my birthday. I only hope I remember to keep it watered until it is able to be planted. I love that I got a bush and not just a bunch.
I am sorry you have yet to ride a unicorn. I hope you get the chance and jump right on it!

Right? If I see any unicorns, I will humbly request a ride 🙂
Living plants are much more fun than cut bouquets, cause gift that keeps on giving! (But I love bouquets, homegrown and storebought!)

I can’t believe you’ve never ridden a unicorn. As you can see from my gravatar. some unicorns have retractable horns and can thus disguise themselves as horses. 🙂 I love flowers, too. The daffodils have bloomed their last and the tulips are bidding fair to be gone as well. Hoping that the wildflowers are still blooming, as I’m finally going to get around to them tomorrow morning.
Happy Monday!

Love your tulips. I keep thinking I need to plant some, but always miss the planting time (still not used to special planting times). I came back to a forest of green trees in the yard. It made me remember why I love springtime here. 🙂

Tulips don’t last near long enough, do they?
LikeLiked by 1 person
NO! I even grow different varieties to make it last longer. And I always cut the first white ones, and then buy another vase full of white ones, and maybe coral or lavender, or both, and then they’re all gone at the store, too!
Love them so hard. I wonder if I’d love them if they lasted as long as mums?

I mean…
See, it’s like this:
I can’t — and I do mean CAN. NOT. — see how we can go on being even virtual friends now. Not after SUCH a revelation.
“Never ridden a unicorn”??!
I mean really.
Who could blame me for severing all ties?

I’m longing to plant annual flowers, too. I have the pots out, carefully placed around the yard– waiting to be filled. We seem to be a few days behind you with our weather so you give me hope that this might be the week for planting.

I love the tulips and flower photos. I enjoy coffee and am so glad u read that the dehydration of coffee isn’t as big as once portrayed. So, Mom refusing water with a little grimace may mean okay to let her drink her six cups of coffee daily. She certainly uses the bathroom often! 😉
I have apple vinegar and add it to most every salad dressing drizzling over the top of it. Even blue cheese with the sour flavor becomes “tangy.” Hope you are relaxing on your favorite part of the weekend! hugs xo

I’m a decaf drinker, so I KNOW my coffee isn’t dehydrating 😛 And yes, it is SUCH a diuretic! Timely comment, I had a cuppa before bed last night and I think I was up twice in the night! You’d think tea would do that, but it doesn’t… but sometimes you just want coffee!
I agree, apple cider vinegar is the queen of tang! 😀 And also, good for us!

This was funny since I do try tea from time to time. I have a big collection of green teas and decaffeinated ones. I like the orange and citrus ones best! Thanks, Joey for your fun responses. 😀
