SoCS — Guess What?

Chicken butt.

Chicken butt not featured: Turkey sold separately.

I made my annual trip to the Indiana State Fair and somehow neglected to get any chicken butt shots. Oh well, whaddya gonna do?

Guess what? Ever since SOME EARLY BIRD told me his wife gets up before him and brings him a cup of coffee, The Mister’s been bringin me a cup of coffee every morning. This goes a long way toward the football on our tv.  Well that, and we have the feet thing goin on. Matrimonial bliss is so gross. Our anniversary is later this month and I like to give fair warning about how gooey it may get. August turns us to mush.

Guess what else? My stream of consciousness is runnin out. Broken up by first down, Moo glomps, Sassy speak, and my dog’s itchy nose.

It’s a good day for distraction.

  2. Haha, getting back to your old self! You gotta dream bigger; coffee from the Mister without toast or a doughnut or whatever? Might have missed out on an opt but as long you’re happy, small things matter.
    Have a great weekend!

Feet. I never really thought about touching bare feet as a method of maintaining intimacy but there it is. It IS gross when you think about it and yet we all do it. It is necessary.

It’s true. Although not the only way, touching feet is probably our most frequent affection on any given day.
Also, I cupped my babies’ feet while they nursed and as we cuddled until their feet were too far away from my hands to hold. ❤
But yeah, on walking people, it's pretty gross 😛

  4. Feet are awesome. Foot rubs awesomer still. Celebrate the feet. Do not feel gross. There is a joke in there somewhere about feeling dirty, but we won’t go there.

Oh great! You get coffee, and I get cats. That’s how the gardener gets his way–by bringing me cats. He brought me Perry, he brought me Felix, he nudged me toward Sloopy Anne. Speaking of cats and feet. No, I know you didn’t chat about cats, but I did and you chatted about feet. My cats love the gardener’s feet and his flipflops that he wears all the time. I mean they LOVE them. I can’t figure out what the attraction is. They make me run.

Hah! I understand. We had a cat, now FIL’s cat and she used to rub herself all over my friend True’s everything. Like, True’s stuff was like catnip or somethin.
And Catticus loves Moo’s shoes, dominates them, and he chews all of our laces, the nastier the shoe, the better — like lawn and gym shoes taste SO good. lol

  12. ROFL! !!! I’m dying! Poppa taught #1 Grandson that Guess what? Chicken butt joke, and he’s been going around for 6 months saying to everyone in the family! Apparently it never gets old for little boys. 🙂

I didn’t get any farther reading your post than those first two lines…had to tell you about #1 GS. So, now am heading back up to read the whole thang! 🙂

  14. How lovely getting your coffee brought up to you in the morning. That also sorts out your problem of having to wait for the coffee machine to get up and running! 🙂

  15. How nice that your coffee gets brought to you! We used that chicken butt and chicken thigh joke on our kids all the time when they were little! I imagine them using it on their some day. Mushy is good…much better than the alternative. 🙂
