Automom and Mr Busyness A. Gogo

“…And the skies will be cloudy all day…”
Alternative song lyrics for those of us who enjoy the cooler, grayer days. I don’t know why October thinks it needs to be so warm, but I’m glad for the gray.

Fall break is upon us, which is good, because my girls are plumb tuckered out from academia.
Moo’s wording so badly, even the dog judges her.
Sassy sounds like a broken robot, “Can’t. Swim. Rosin. Six. Gym.”
“Where are your shoes?”
“Madrid. Algeria. Distributive. 6am.”
“We put our shoes on to go to school.”
“Can we take the stuff and the *wiggles fingers* for the thingy when we go *waves arms*?”
“No one can understand you. I’d like to buy a noun please, Moo.”
“Mitochondria. ”
“Find your sister some shoes?”
“Zapatos.”
“Do the stuff and the *wiggles fingers* for the thingy *waves arms* fit in the backseat with you?”
“Yes!”
“Then sure!”

I pet them and feed them and drive them on Automom.

Tomorrow afternoon, there’ll come a decline in our pace. We will relish it. Mr Busyness A. Gogo will have to bother other people. Be on the lookout, y’all. He drifts in like the fog, dotting your calendar with letters and numbers. He steals your sleep and hides your words.

I’ve got big plans to make some chicken salad sometime soon, as I do have a hankerin. My other plans include not having plans.
(At all.)
(Apart from the guests.)
(Apart from the driving.)
(Apart from cooking, cleaning, and laundry.)
IT’S STILL GONNA BE AN EASIER WEEK, OKAY?!?

Happy Friday Everyone!

Sounds like a bit of busy on the fall break. Try to take some ‘me’ time, too. …oh, they get a fall break now? Guess we never had that, only Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. …Also…how do you do those strike out words? I think I used to have that, but don’t seem to find it any more. 🙂

We didn’t need fall break because we didn’t go to school the first week of August! I love the breaks, but I’d rather go back to how it was. Sometimes I get tired for them.
The strikeout thingy is in the top of the toolbar, very far left by underline and italicize.
I will get plenty of downtime, I promise. (Today not being an excellent example, because I already dropped a kid off at 6am! But later, a nap, hmm?)

Don’t. Miss. School. Stuff. We just found our college daughter a room to rent for the rest of the semester since her landlords decided they needed to move back into their home immediately. What a mess that was. Happy week, Joey!

If your weather forecast is as mellow as ours, you’re going to have perfect weather for doing nothing. Enjoy. Happy Friday to you and yours.

  7. Grey here today, Joey, and I hope you’re getting some, too. We had some rain during the night and a misty morning, but I’m still waiting for the real rain they keep promising. The grass looks better, however. I hope you have almost no plans for the weekend and they come true. 🙂 Enjoy family and whatever happens…and the chicken salad if that materializes. I just finished making granola, so that’s one thing done.

Yesss, chicken salad is a must!
We got some all day rains on Thursday, and I still want more. Maybe we’ll both get more soon. A nice balance of wet and warm makes for prettier trees 🙂

      • No chicken salad for me today, but I’m getting ready to make pesto shortly. The morning’s been very windy with no rain, so I’m giving the basil as long as possible to dry off. Looking forward to the fall colors when they arrive.

I hope you’re right (about the easy part). Now to important business: chicken salad – do you put nuts and grapes and crap in it, or are you a purist, perhaps only occasionally living on the chilled protein-based salad edge by adding curry? Curried chicken salad is a good thing.

The way your express yourself, Joey, honestly makes me grin. You are so funny yet I know this is your way of blowing off some steam. I know all to well Mr. Busyness A. Gogo, so I truly empathize. Today I am having a DOWN day which means RELAX. I have my nose in a good book and am presently knitting a baby afghan. To hell with cleaning today! I’m SO behind in everything but right now I am putting ME first when I can. I SO encourage you to do the very same!!! Have a great weekend! 💖🍷💫

      Thanks, Amy.
I’m glad you realize you need self-care more than your chores need tending. I appreciate that you wish me the same, I’m gettin there! Taxied child to 6am and collected her at 10, picked up some groceries, did some chores. Bout ready to read myself to sleep and later today I’ll start that chicken salad. Tomorrow is my really good down day. Thanks again! x

weekend is going well (thx) and Friday was my decompress day. I did a little blogging to relax….
have you ever heard of that song “because I got high” -??
it is not one on my playlist or anything – (and I am not a pot person – not judging anyone – just never my thing) and well – years ago the song made the rounds and my kids would laugh at the lyrics:
“I was gonna clean my room, but then I got high” “I was gonna go to work but then I got high”

anyhow, the song came to mind this week 0 and I just replaced the lyrics to “I was gonna go to yoga, but then I blogged…”
“I was gonna tinker in the garden, but then I blogged….” I was gonna clean up the kitchen… but decided to blog….”
        lol
and that was part of the chill day

  23. I hope you have a restful break! We get no major break until Thanksgiving…and that’s when Big Mr. is having his wisdom teeth removed! We had lots of gray this weekend. It made for better soccer watchin’ and playin’ weather. This morning was very humid, but the girls won the championship so they were all happy…and all us parents were all happy…and the rain held off until after we made it home from the 3 hour drive…so much happy! 🙂

Does she ever text like that, but use textspeak/shorten the words? That’d be fun to figure out 😀

She does tend to leave out words in text, although usually modifiers. The worst is she’s one of those people that uses homonyms so it’s a lot of *too *hear *they’re in person it’s much cuter — She’s an A student even though language is not her thing. 😛
