Look at all the things.
Y’all will come along and name all the things you like, and I’ll like all the things with you.

Best though, that cat in the window.

It’s crooked, cause the photographer was all these shoes are tall and wobbly and my feet hurt now and this building is much farther from my car than — where is my car?

True story.

This was a trip back in October. I paid so much for parking, and stayed so briefly, I decided to do some dooring to get my money’s worth. I roamed how I do and ended up having a serious talk with myself about how I really need to keep sneakers in my trunk!

Bet that cat could see my car!

  1. A new Thursday term – dooring. Only you, Joey. Thanks for the chuckle. πŸ™‚

That little cat is adorable. Look at the window to the right–doesn’t that look like a shadow of another cat standing up? The door is pretty, though. Lest Norm think I am turning this into “Cats in Windows + Doors.” πŸ˜€

Nice door, Joey. 500 bonus for the cat in the window. 10 demerits for lack of sneakers, but I bet you won’t do that again anytime soon.

Glad you found your car, and yes, the kitty is the best part! (I do like the door too…)

I just love the decorative facades of older buildings. When you look at the “modern” buildings you wonder what happen. Did all of the architects lose a bet? And those new apartment buildings being built. Oy vey. Cubist nightmares of oddly colored panels. Enough to make the angels weep.

  6. I like the purple around the windows. Glad you survived the shoes. πŸ™‚

  7. I bet you envied that cat all cosy and comfy, and there’s you in your tall shoes! I love the doorway though, very pretty πŸ™‚

I do like all the things! I especially like those sunburst things above the door, which quite possibly have no purpose whatsoever except to be likeable things. And, OF COURSE, the cat!

You find the most interesting doors, and well, the cat in the window just makes it perfect! πŸ™‚

Of course the cat could see your car, he had been watching you as you approached on your woefully inadequate paws.If you look close enough, I think you can detect a bit of a snicker going on there. I like that the entire entrance seems to point to the cat. I’m sure the cat would expect nothing less, ‘cuz cat.

I do love that stonework surrounding the door, but you are right, that cat is awesome. Too bad he didn’t point out your car though! πŸ™‚

  12. You poor thing, Joey, wobbling along getting sore feet for the sake of Thursday Doors, but we do appreciate it, πŸ™‚

First rule of doorscursions: Always take note of where you parked the car πŸ˜€
The bonus points for the cat more than make up for any demerits for the misplaced car.
It is a very regal-looking entrance – nice find.

  15. Great door find and Like Dan said, the door frame points up, like an arrow, to the cat! If you can arrange a composition like that it puzzles me how you can lose your car; I think that’s a Cheshire cat smiling at you being lost in Wonderland! πŸ˜‰

The cat ears totally caught my eye!

I’ve ‘lost’ my car more than a few times and it’s a horrible feeling. Now I’m so paranoid about making sure I know where it is so I can find it again. Needless to say I’ve become a creature of habit and tend to park in familiar areas and simply walk.

I like you liked the cat bit too πŸ™‚
This particular time involved construction, which I’d mentally noted, “Oh they’re doing construction on the south side of this building” (where my car was) — but Joanne, it was on three sides of the building! ACK! I will NOT do that again! lol

You deserve the purple paws for Thursday Door injuries to feet and pride. But the cat will never give it. He sits smugly judging you in your pain.

love the combo of door and jot post.
and the cat was a nice capture – so was the door with that cool trim.
also – I bought these little black keds slip on shoes – they look like the flats that were really in during the 1980s – and well – these thin little “keds” look like slippers and I am sure that you have seen them (I saw them on TV once and some carry them in a purse when they go out clubbing in heels) anyhow, I keep these under the seat in my car just in case I need a shoe relief break. Have not needed them yet….

  19. There is really something with cats and windows. Everywhere in the world they do the same: sit at the window. Great combo, Joey. Sorry for my absence. Busy, just busy πŸ™‚
