Friday night, I took the dog out and scooted through the snow. Warmer temps had begun to melt the snow some, making it airier. As I kicked it, it dusted my boots. I wore my barn jacket, flapping open, but probably didn’t need to. It was so much warmer, right around freezing. I relished scooting in the quiet moonlit world. I savored my contentment.
I’m taking my happiness into work early today. Getting a head start. Maybe it will make for a better Tuesday. If not, at least it’s supposed to snow again tomorrow.
These milder temperatures are a nice reprieve from the bone-chilling cold. Today it rains and I’m ok with that. I don’t have to shovel it 🙂

Not the best of spots to miss.
My experience with snow is that it compacts heavily as it melts, water from upper layers dripping into the spaces. You comment that the snow was somehow airier surprised me. If I ever get in that position again re snow, I’ll pay more attention.
We’re planning a move to California (I hope, I hope), and I’m mobility challenged and vertically challenged, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to check. That irritates me, having limitations become lifelong ‘things,’ but I suppose it can’t be helped.

It surprised me as well. Probably a special snow, one of those 100 words for snow we don’t have or somethin, whatever the phrase is. I think it may have been the new snow landed on top of the old snow. I gave the first kick pretty hard, so it shocked me when it shot up like dust! Then I had a nice time. The light fluffy snow is a joy, and quite a bit safer, ever for vertically and mobility challenged.

Yes the weather has taken a turn for the better but it is still Winter. During winter that Mother Nature Bitch can turn on you in a nano second. I hope both your Today and Tuesday are stellar.

Today was grueling. Tomorrow should be better. Which was the plan, so I won’t complain.
(About work anyway.)
I know Mother Nature’s a bitch, but the temps this week — Yeehaw! 😀

Just as well, Craig. I worked hard enough for both of us today 😉

I love the snow, if it melts off the roads/driveway and sticks to the ground. BUT IT DOESN’T, most of the time. It makes it difficult and dangerous to drive in, and keeps me from getting the GothMobile up out of the basement. BAD SNOW! NO BISCUIT!

We’re going to reach a high of 58 degrees here in NE Ohio today. That’ll make it all the much harder to return to freezing temps. Ugh.

This week looks good, here, Carrie. I hope you enjoy it just as long 🙂

Amazing the perspective living in the Midwest gives someone. Any time you can say “it was still below freezing, but it had warmed up a lot,” you know you’re from the Midwest. In Chicago, 35 degrees isw when people go out and wash the car…

After almost two weeks of single-digit and below zero temps, anything 30 and above seems warm. I’ve changed into a lighter weight coat.

Right on. I wore a sweater as a coat today 🙂 It was exciting!

It’s much warmer here, which makes me happy. But I don’t trust it…not at all…winter is fickle. If it’s going to be cold, then I would like snow because it prettifies all the brown. Happy Monday!!

It DOES prettify the brown! 😀

Cold is relative. Freezing is warmer? I’m glad you’re happy it’s warmer then, and I hope it was a good Monday and it segue’s nicely into Tuesday for you.
It’s rainy here, but the drizzly kind, not the hard rain we really could use, but it’s greenafyin’ our hills! They’re so pretty when they’re green.

Thanks so much! ❤
We didn't get our snow today. It did the mix for about an hour, and then NOTHIN! If I get extra, I'll send it west.
