Moo got this word game on her phone, and we’d all sometimes help her find what she couldn’t. I liked it, so I put it on my phone. Then Sassy put it on her phone. Then The Mister would help us find what we couldn’t, and he didn’t always wanna give it back, so he put it on his phone. Now, three of us play the game, and Moo only plays when we need help.
We sometimes switch phones, like, “I’m tired of looking for this word.”
“Me too.”

There are times we lose the will to live over words as simple as TWO and things no one’s thought about since 7th grade science, like CATION. Earlier today, The Mister found SET for me, and I found UNION for him. Sometimes it’s 4 words, sometimes it’s 40. It’s maddening and addictive.
“My phone’s dying. Let’s have sex.”
I don’t have time to tweet, I have to solve Level 13 and get all the butterflies!
Yeah, yeah, I know the top word is BURDEN, you don’t have to tell me, heh. If I solve it, I can’t get a photo before the next one comes up.

This does look addictive and so I won’t add it to my phone. The addictive games I play are “Who will change the toilet paper roll if I don’t?” or “How long can I leave the dead ladybug on the windowsill before I must give it a funeral.”

I don’t play mindless games on my phone and not many on the computer, unless you count the crossword puzzles. I guess I’d rather be watching Star Trek or reading Joey’s blog posts. 🙂

I don’t play many games, but I do a trivia game with Faith. She usually wins because I stink at art and entertainment. Sometimes the game times out because we forget.

I don’t really play any electronic games. I have a couple on my phone, like solitaire, but I find if I have downtime I’ll check into social media instead. Which really isn’t any better. 😄

Kindle and on the phone books are great for the standing, sitting, waiting times. These don’t hurt the shoulders like treebooks.

I don’t have any games on my phone. Mine is an old company phone. Mostly all I can do is make/receive phone calls and text. I am too cheap to buy another phone.

Haha! This game is so addicting! The same thing happened to my family. I started playing it. Then my mom put it on her phone. Now my five-year-old cousin, who’s just learning to read, has it on her tablet (yes, she has a freaking tablet) and plays it all the time. She’s actually really good.
On another note, I have to use the line “My phone’s dying. Let’s have sex.” in a story somewhere. It is so good! 😀

Lol, I play TONS of games. Mostly strategy type games (like civilization,) some role playing (like skyrim,) and some skill based games (like fast paced, arcade style shoot em ups.) The shmups are my mindless thing. I can do a lot of them in my sleep, lol.
On my phone though, not so much.
To me gaming is like passing the time watching tv, but it keeps my mind going. Unlike most tv, lol.
Do love word search things though, on paper. I used to get the mags and go through them in an afternoon. Now I just poke at em every so often, cuz the mags get expensive after a bit lol.

They do! Papaw used to save me all the crosswords from the paper, and oh how I miss that. You can subscribe and do them online and it is NOT the same!
You know how I do, binge, burn out. This is different, since we all do it. We don’t always do it, but when we do, it’s kinda neat family time. Alone but not alone, great introvert stuffs.
I’m not into tv. I have my shows. Other shows are not my shows. lol

It’s not like that with everything, I assure you. It always seems one person isn’t interested in whatever. So often one man out, so to speak.
One of the things Jake and I did a lot when we were kids — play cards like whoa. That stuck.

I am not much into solo games. Clara and I play some games together. They are all the old fashioned ones. Backgammon, Dominoes. She loves some sort of computer game. Plays it by the hour. Haven’t the foggiest what it is.

I’d probably like the game you mention above that has your family hooked. HOWEVER, we in this house are addicted to Word Crossy, switching phones back and forth, until we solve the puzzle. I can only commit to one word-centric game at a time, which is probably a good thing considering how much time I spend on the one I’m playing now.

Looks like fun. Wait until you find one with in-app purchases. I had to cut my wife off from in app purchases for a while around Christmas time. It’s a real thing, and the games are addictive, so maybe for ten bucks you can make better progress, etc.

Tasty Tale, Spider Solitaire, and MahJong Solitaire are the only 3 I play on my tablet.
I do crosswords, and wordsearch still using the little books of them.

This made me laugh, because that’s exactly how Little Man and I started playing. Our MIL could never find words and would pass it off to us. She always has us in hysterics with her games, because she can never figure out the emoji game or find the words or make the puzzle piece fit, and she gets mad and yells at it before handing off.

For nearly-mindless fun, I have Two Dots and a new one, Toon Blast. Oh, and Solitaire, and for something that takes a little more mindfulness, Sudoku. I also have one of those match-the-mah-jongg-tiles game that’s kind of amusing. Mary’s fave is Candy Crush, and I’ve discovered that a lot of games have the same basic MO.

The hubby, daughter, and I play Words With Friends. It’s fun. At one time I played Candy Crush but then I got to a level I could not beat so uninstalled it. LOL. I use to play a lot of games on the computer when Facebook first came out. Sometimes I’d like to go back instead of browsing hours on newsfeeds and not getting anything done. LOL I do believe I cleaned more when there was no smartphones. LOL No, my house isn’t dirty mess just lightly dusty. LOL

On the phone: solitaire and match three gems. On the computer Return to Ravenhurst, and other hidden object types and Scrabble and Bookworm Adventures (totally addicting!). Not often and never without the TV going in the background or a text-to-speech or Audible book going.

well this game sounds really fun – and I probably do not need to remind you what it does for the neural pathways and all that great mental conditioning. Games like this keep the mind fresh and prevents those tangles and who knows what else (well I am sure some folks know… )
but it also sounds like fun for the way you swap phones…
and side note – I just shared about our Jackbox games that we played this winter and not sure if you heard of them – but so fun.

Farm Heroes Saga. It’s really bad when I win 6 hours of free lives. I have always had an addiction for video games, but at least I don’t have to stand in front of the Pac-Man machine endlessly feeding in quarters and hoping nobody is standing behind me waiting to play.

Tetris was awesome. The one addiction I had (though my mother seriously limited my time spent on it) that would make the offspring roll their eyes is Pong.
I wonder what my grandchildren will play as they laugh at the games played now. As I type, I keep hearing my youngest say, “Ok, where are we going.” It throws me off until I realize it’s now possible to play games and talk to friends over the Internet.

I’ve since finished it — played to the end, and moved to Wordscrapers. It’s better. Highly recommend it.
