SoCS – Sup

S’up is me. I was up before 9.

My new phone has this LIVE feature that I don’t really understand the point of, but it freaks me out a bit because it shows a moment right before the shot, so when you look at a series of squirrel photos on my phone, the squirrel is still sorta squirreling, scratching his ears or turning to look at you. Maybe the whole point of it is to freak me out.

Anyway, I’m comin to ya LIVE from my sofa.

I’m becoming a better sleeper. I’m super proud about it, like I made it happen, like I had anything to do with it, but the truth is, I have no idea why it’s happening to me now, and I can’t help but think in my anxious way that I must be dying, to be sleeping so well so often. You would think getting good regular sleep would further reduce my anxiety, but like my hair, anxiety disorder does as it pleases.

I have absolutely nothing pressing to do. I shall wear the bedhead and the pajamas all the livelong day. I have a book and there are shows and if you read me yesterday, you know I need to hit the nail care pretty hard.

My dog supports this plan.

Oh yeah, the party is right here.

I had ice cream for breakfast, a Skinny Cow, vanilla, The Mister had the chocolate. Now though, I’m thinkin bout eggs and toast — an egg sammich perhaps? All but a sip of my cream soda is gone and my thoughts turn to choccie milk.

Supper is linner here today and linner is ribs. Ribs and cabbage and cornbread. I won’t be sopping. I’ll be doing a fair amount of lip-smacking, but no sopping.

As for sep, I think of it as SEP and while I feel sorry for those poor saps, I don’t feel I have any problems today and so it seems like a good time to end this post.

You look fine young lady. I am glad Dog approves your plan; it’s a good plan. I am planning on fixing bbq pulled pork with baked beans and cole slaw. No cornbread, had that the other night and had bagels this morning. Trying to watch my carbs. Have a great weekend.

Wish I had your hair. I’m eating healthy while the hubby is away so it’s oatmeal for me.

  6. I had similar plans for today but alas, people at work are quitting right and left without two weeks notice, leaving us very understaffed AND people are sick so I agreed to come in for three or four hours this afternoon/evening. Sigh. I didn’t want to, but didn’t want someone to be there by herself for an entire shift.

As for the “Live” feature, the great thing is that if the photo doesn’t turn out well, you can click “edit” and at the bottom will be a number of shots. You can go through them, find one that turned out well, and make that the main photo. 🙂

Oh I’m so sorry it’s like that at your work. That’s rough. I hope you get some great new hires in soon. For about a month, due to quitting and sickness, I was literally the only staff in my office — it was hard. But then new people and well people and yay.
Thanks for the tip on the LIVE feature 🙂

  7. LOL! I love the volume you have going on in the crown of your hair!! You should see mine right now. I have had a hair mask on my roots since yesterday afternoon. It’s a flat kinda greasy mess. I’m going to shampoo it this afternoon. I’m determined to keep the stuff in for 24 hours.

I’m in my jammies still and will probably stay in the today too. It’s raining out so I’m clearing out the 2018 files, and then I’m going to take down the Christmas decorations. Movies and a good book with a nice pot of tea sound better…so do eggs and toast now that I think about it!

I’m so glad to hear you’re sleeping better! Oh, you can turn off the Live feature and just get good fashioned stills. Enjoy the day!

Volume = Would stand up on its own if I didn’t pat it down. lol
I hope you like the results of your hair mask 🙂
I went over a year not using commercial liquid shampoo on my hair, washing with all sorts of things, and finally decided on shampoo bar. For the record, the egg white mask and apple cider vinegar rinse really do wonders for me. I try to do it once a month, but it ends up being more like 6 weeks.
I will check my settings on the camera, cause to be honest, it seems to have been recent, like I hit something on accident. Thanks for the tip!

      • In the top bar of your camera app when it’s open the little Live button is gold when on and white when off.

I use a couple of hair masks, but this one was a Castor Oil home-made one. My hair should be pretty springy and curly when it dries. 🙂 Not frizzy! I have a low-poo shampoo I like. I haven’t tried the no-poo ones I do like a bit of lather. My hair is so fine it doesn’t keep volume in the crown. 😦

Good luck with the camera app!

Your hair looks fabulous! I like that live thing on my phone a little too much. I get in this place where keep going back and forth on my photos to watch it happen like it’s magic.

Happy happy Saturday! Squirrels and hair-dos and puppy dogs…you always have fun posts! I get that live action on my phone sometimes too. Some button or other makes it stop, but I kind of like seeing the movement. 🙂

Gotta love the way dogs support our best behavior. That all sounds so good, especially the egg sandwich. That’s what had for dinner last night – first real food for days, so good. I love your squirrel photo. He looks like you caught him in the middle of something important.

I can’t figure out my Live feature but I think it is automatic when I hold the button down too long. Cheers to sleeping better and a good doggy that agrees staying in P-jammers all the live long day is da best!!!

I love the bedhead and hope you keep it into Sunday. As for the breakfast ice cream, I would have chosen mint chocolate chip, but to each their own. That’s how it’s supposed to be, right?

  15. I’m in house clothes all day too. The difference being that I have a task list trying to get this book launched properly. I’ll probably be working all day. I work tomorrow too, but at least they pay me.

You should be able to turn off the live feature if you have an iPhone. I turned mine off, too weird.

My husband just talked about making linner, too. We’re having a pot roast, potatoes, and stuff. Using our new Instant Pot to make it, so hopefully it’ll be good.

Egg sammich recipe from over here. Fire up the panini maker. YES, I HAVE THIS GLORIOUS APPLIANCE. More important than a toaster for me. Then I grill two slices of bread. Then I crack two eggs onto the hot grill. They end up really funny shapes, which adds to the enjoyment. I spread the bread with veganaise and freshly cracked salt. Then assemble sandwich. If I want the calories (hahahahaha) I spread the “outsides” of the bread with butter spread. Sometimes I even salt the completed sandwich. Love these guys.
Your squirrel is wonderful and I have to show to my son who is visiting this weekend. Happy week!

I somehow hit that live feature on my phone and cannot for the life of me (ha! pun!) figure out how to turn it off so every photo I take has a Harry Potter feel. I understand your fear. I fear Voldemort may jump out of my phone. What are you reading, Joey? I just finished a truly delightful, old-fashioned book called “I Capture the Castle” by Dodie Smith. Its a coming of age novel set in the 1930’s. The book was written in the late 1940’s. There’s no sex (mostly the main character talks about “making love” but she just means kissing for the most part), violence, or alternate universes. Just plain good storytelling.

It’s a yellow circle when you open your camera. (Or at least mine was.) I pressed it and now it’s off.
I am reading Jeeves — most of the collection in one spine. I needed some levity. I’d read a few heavy things over the holidays, and I just needed a break. Your book sounds like it would fit that bill as well. I will check my library… And they have it! I put it on my list thanks, Susanne!

The LIVE feature freaked me out at first too. I usually have it turned off, but actually, the few times that it was accidentally on made for some great photos in Scotland where my hair was flying around like crazy and it showed how windy it is there! I’ve done lots of reading this weekend. I think this shall be the year of much reading of books! I hope it was the most enjoyable day of ice cream, pjs, and bedhead! 🙂

Interesting about the LIVE feature. Sometime, I might play with it, but for now, I’m just glad it’s off.

Ribs and cabbage and cornbread, OH, MY! Comes the summer, I can get ribs from the local farmer guy. I could get them in the winter, but he would have to deliver them to me, and we don’t like to put him out like that. Are we Midwestern, or what? ANYWAY, MMMMMMMMM!
