Thanks! It is my favorite pasta dish. Bachelor weekend, eh? I haven’t been to the Garrison since 2-2-2002. True story. It’s just right around the corner and yet, we never go.
Wow. That long ago. I did food for a golf outing the summer they were preparing to open. I set my grill and stuff up on the terrace. Doesn’t seem that long ago.I recommend their buffet. Lavish display just right for conspicuous consumption. Worth the $19.99 price. Drink included.
Yaaasss, girl, I did pot pie last weekend. Stay in and stay cozy. Then when you get restless, you can play in the snow and come back in to get warm and cozy 😛 Those days are the best!
The pot pie was most excellent … or maybe it was the martini … I can’t remember now.
With today’s looming snowstorm, I’m back to my artwork for the next few days. I think I’ve earned a rest 🙂
My doc has recommended I stop eating pasta, potatoes, bread, and sugar. Pretty much anything white. But I won’t. But I WILL drastically reduce them. But before that happened, I made a veg cottage pie, which is like a pot pie without the crust and with mashed potatoes on top. Stellar dish! Carbonara is with bacon in, yes?
Bacon or prosciutto — I don’t much eat the bacon. Dog likes it 😉
Well that’s inevitable, isn’t it? I think it’s reverse food introduction. You spend the first few years of your life eating new foods and then you spend the last half of your life slowly giving up most of the foods you love — or modifying the time of day you eat them, or how often you can enjoy them… My godmother has told me for 30+ years that nothing white is good for you, not bread, not sugar, not cocaine, lol!
I stayed in my jammies all day, took a shower and put on clean ones. Hit me with it, Monday!!

Great JOT. I love that dish. Pat and I went to Garrison’s brunch today. We are both bachelors this weekend.

I did, in fact, consume the buffet offerings. But that was before 2002. Likely early winter of 2001. LOL
That’s cool you golf-grilled 🙂

Yum! We have that often when the girl is home. Haven’t had it since she returned to school. Need to add it back into the rotation.

It’s my eldest daughter’s favorite dish and since she lives 1000 miles away, we don’t eat it as often as we did when she was home 🙂
