Week-end-ing

Oh my gosh, you guys! My whole family was home alllll weeeek while I worked. That was rough. I missed my people so very much. I worked a lil late Monday and Thursday and quite a bit late on Tuesday (What else is a Tuesday good for?) On Wednesday, though, I left at 5:00. Well, 5 o’somethin, close enough. Work is crazy and I am crazed. If work was not crazy, it would have been an ideal time to take a personal day and enjoy the incredibly beautiful warm spring weather we had.

There have been teens at my house like whoa. There were so many teens in our house that the sisters resented visiting parties due to the lack of sister time. Today, The Mister told the sisters NO MORE SLEEPOVERS. As with any company, even when you like the teens a lot, you truly prefer your own…

One of them did this:

Which made me laugh, but also made me a bit uncomfortable, cause Gumby and Pokey, you know.

The Mister picked me up some fleurs. I no longer remember who had a vase of yellow daffodils, but one of you bloggers did, and I had daffodil envy so The Mister picked some up.

Aren’t they so frickin happy?!? Cheerful af.

The Mister made a concerted effort to pad my week with happiness.

Two nights, I fell asleep on him.

We took Moo to sushi. Yum!

We took Sassy to ice cream. Yum!

On Thursday, he picked me up from work and we got me this margarita. Yum!

Yes, I did drink it all. I slurped it right on down. It was good. I needed it. Plus quesoeverything!

Today he took me to work and took Blanche for her maintenance.

Sigh. He’s such a great person to share life with. I love him so much. Even though he is a grumpy man who has no memory and every chance he gets he offers my cat to houseguests, he is good to me.

Now that you know my week was rough but trimmed in pleasantries, I am delighted to announce I HAVE NO PLANS FOR THE WEEKEND! I shall do the week-end-ing as I please! Tra-la-la! Now, tell me, how are you?

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am so glad your plans are moving forward with gusto! Gosh it’s going to be nice for you to settle in and find a new normal in your new house. Always a bit of fresh perspective with a change like that.

That is a huge margarita! I am impressed. Hectic weeks makes weekends seem so much better. For the record, I’d take the cat. Enjoy the next two days.

Cramming to get my latest sketchbook finished and then prep for A to Z. Clean the house? Well, maybe sometime. Lucky you with no plans. You look good behind that margarita. If it was a daiquiri I’d be jealous. Have a great weekend!

Your husband have some kitty issues? He didn’t like my previous girl cat, either, but now she’s long gone and he claims he did. He’s jealous, I swear!
Yes, it’s frequently 2:00 when I need it to be 11:00, but I can’t work 3 hours over every day. Sigh.
      Thank you!

Oooh, that is QUITE a margarita. I’m sensing one in the very near future now…plus the quesoeverything because QuesoEverything. Duh.
Don’t quite know what to say about Gumby and Pokey (yikes) but boy, that daffodil is purty. Your hubby hit it out of the park this week and will surely win Boss-Hubby-of-the-Neighborhood as long as he doesn’t actually dispatch your cat…

  21. Oh, I love it how you think of us when you’re happy and wish to tell us about it. ❤ Amore also offers bestia even to strangers. What's up with that?? That margarita is huge but you also have small hands (or so you say!). In any case, it would sit well with me this week. It was not the best but it's mending. That sculpturing is hilarious. I hope you're having a most awesome weekend!

  22. Work has been a pain, so I took a vacation day just for me. My wife went to visit family, and it’s been glorious. Just me and the dogs. Weather is nice too and the back door is wide open so they can let themselves out.

I still cannot get over how your cat looks like our Bella, right down to the one blue and one green eye! Your Mister sounds like a great deal, Joey! You probably didn’t even know the near-of-it-all when you said “I do”. That margarita? My eyes fell out of my head when I saw the size of it. Holy moly! My drinking days are over but even when I was drinking, I’m not sure if I could have gotten that whole thing down. Teenagers ….. Bless you! Hormones and stinky feet! OH I remember those days well! Gumbo and Pokey …. yeah I’d be a bit uncomfortable too even though I too would think it funny. I hope by now with half the weekend gone, yours has gone mighty fine. You deserve it!! Have a great day today!! 🌟🌟🌟🌈

The weekend was great, no lie. I hope yours was too! I often think about what it was like when The Mister was deployed and I didn’t “have him” to partner with in these ways and it makes me all the more grateful for him. Margaritas are crucial now and again, at least for me. Thanks so much, Jewels!

oh your post made me laugh – smile – then laugh again – and then smile two more times –
    the cat offering – bah
    the gumby – hahahh
and daffodils are wonderful – especially in spring and then I have seen a good number of posts with daffodils this last month or two – but yours has that special indoor softness with the verticals of the curtains and the verticals of the leaves and green –
and the center bloom you give us – has some backlight to that horn vibe – as if quietly playing the “happy” you are sending your readers via the blog
((and love when you share how feel asleep on your man – tugs my heart to imagine that))

I am still laughing about Gumby and Pokey. That is the type of thing I would expect to see happen with teens. Once a group of friends of one of my teens drew phallic symbols all through the dust of another’s car. Oy! Those daffodils are so lovely!! Mmmm…margaritas!! We have a restaurant in town with massive margaritas. They have a limit of one per customer…and that’s all you need. lol. I’m not a kitty fan, so I won’t get into the bidding war I see in the comments. 😉 But I will say that your kitty has the most gorgeous eyes, so vibrant against the white. 🙂

I could not drink two margaritas that size. I wouldn’t be okay, lol!
