It’s doing the snow. School was on a two-hour delay, so I was, too. Then it snowed again. One of our bosses was all, “Go home before it gets bad” and we did. I am grateful I did not have to make that drive in rush hour madness. I slid twice — once slowing and once turning.
There was chem study at my dining table, but it turned into linguistics. It seems Moo and I are deficient in pronunciation of tin and ten. We both say ten for both. Apparently. To us, those words are homophones and we need context only for spelling. Sassy and I said ten and ten to one another ten times and I didn’t understand the point. She was trying to help me say tin and I kept saying ten. I lost. Play that game at home and let me know how you do, will ya?
The Mister grilled burgers. Yes in the snow. We’re Hoosiers. The tomatoes were perfect. It’s December and the tomatoes were perfect! The lettuce was crisp. Burger was delicious. I am full.
We have once again fallen victim to commercialization and have purchased prezzies for the spawn. They are good and interesting people, clever and hilarious, and we’ll spoil them as we see fit. Now I look forward to wrapping. Wrapping is my favorite. Wrapping may be the cats’ favorite as well.
There is no robocall, no email about tomorrow’s school schedule. They like to wait until 5:11 am and that is the suck.
It’s after 10. I’m yawning. Tomorrow’s Tuesday. Bless.

Sweet picture of Cat. How does he like snow? I don’t have much use for it. Cold over works my lungs and snow over works my heart, I don’t like those two things over worked. It was really nice of your boss to let you guys off early. I agree about burgers. Why do some folks think it absurd to grill in the snow? Back when I did that sort of thing my Weber was used probably as much in the snowy times as the warm and sunny times. Stay warm and have a Blissful Tuesday.

For years, I’d have it all bought and wrapped by now, but since I returned to work full-time, most of it’s not even out of the boxes, LOL! I’m glad you like my snow pic, it’s a few years old, but it’s the same view now š

Love love love your picture of your cat! That is a stunner!! As for prezzies, not too sure if there will be any in this house this year. Hubby and I are focusing on what is important to us …. the health and wellbeing of our fur kids, some who are really not feeling well.

When I moved down here to sunny FL, I couldn’t understand ‘pin.’ That is both a pin and a pen. When pushed, a Southerner will clarify by saying, ‘ink pen.’ Oh.

Those burgers sound so good. I’d go get me one, except we’re having a wintry mix until 8:00 pm. Maybe it’s leftover from yours – thanks. Being able to say ‘tin’ is highly overrated. When do you really need that?

Apparently you need it for chemistry? Or at least that’s how it was discovered, during the metals review. I’m pretty sure pronunciation was NOT required on the final exam!

It sounds like I will spend Christmas alone. Old What’s Her Face has to work, because it’s a hospital and someone has to. Alone time is a present all by itself. Out here people have a problem pronouncing pen and pin. Drives me crazy. (Pin wins out for most of them.)

Iām sorry for the snow hassles, but itās so beautiful. Would you please send me about an inch, preferably for Christmas Eve day? Not going to have anything here unless things change drastically. Sigh.
Weāre doing the present thing but just a few. Itās a first world problem when you canāt think of anything you need or even want, isnāt it? The best present is that both girls and the one s-i-l plus one s-i-l will all be here.

I’m not opposed to grilling in the snow either. The problem is, our blizzard two weeks ago created waist-deep drifts on the back porch. This is why they invented cast iron skillets.

Pretty snow, cool photo. Here in WI, I think we grill when it’s snowing or -20F. It’s a testament to the length of winter and the urge for smoky meat, weather be damned.
Try clamping your teeth together and saying tin. Does that change anything? I suppose it doesn’t matter as long as you know what you are saying.
Prezzies are the best! Have a commercially filled Christmas!

He-Man grilled salmon last week there was still a little snow on the ground, but it wasn’t raining or snowing.
I think I say tin and ten the same too. I’m procrastinating on the wrapping. Not my favorite part of Christmas.

I live in Texas.
Discussing lingo the other day, I learnt there’s a word for my ability to change accent depending on who I’m around. My wife is native Texican. Her high school class thinks I graduated with them and I have to tell them I did not.
I grew up and graduated from high school in PA. When they ask me why I don’t talk like I’m a DamnYankee (they think it’s one word), I tell them it’s because I’m in Texas ATM. I then get that look like they can see my horns. š

It was on one of the news stations while I was at the gym. I was really listening to an audiobookā but saw Indiana as they showed roads of slush and snow and wrecks. I’m glad the roads are getting better!

I know it’s prudy but I’m so glad I escaped the snow of Boston. It only dusts here in the DMV and yet these folks lose their minds. Very entertaining. I’m glad you didn’t slip, slide away. By my age, my mom delegated wrapping to me and my sisters. Why am I wrapping for everybody? To you and the family, wishes for a blessed holiday.

I find that a lot of words people think sounds the same are pronounced slightly different, too. But the I go mishearing how some words are pronounced, so who knows.
