About Me

Who am I?  I’m just another writer.  I write how I speak.  Even though I have a BA in English, and even though I’ve been a teacher, and can red pen with the best of em, I don’t shrink from verbing my nouns, using a run-on for effect, or lettin it all slang out.
I’m a mother, but not your mother.  So when I judge you harshly, I won’t say it to your face, because I was not raised by wolves, nor has anyone died and made me queen.  Oh, but there’s time still!
I have fallen off my high horse a time or two, but it’s never stopped me from gettin right back up on it.
I spend a fair chunk of my time forcing good manners and clichéd phrases upon my own children, but like most parents, I allocate most of my energy to solving their disputes, soothing their damaged egos, and of course, telling them to stop doing that.  Fortunately, their father is strong and stern.  I’m strong and stern, too, but only if you compare me to fictional housewives, which is something I would never do because I am my own maid, nanny, cook, and stylist. Additionally, I write all my own lines.
I married well; not in the way that he has money, but in the way that I have one of those terrible marriages that grows more disgustingly blissful every year.

Writing that is brutally truthful and yet still amusing. Hard to pull that one off…
