Like so many other places, we’ve been experiencing such mild, autumnal temperatures, it hasn’t felt much like winter at all.
The Mister woke me with, “You got your winter wonderland.”
As soon as I opened the curtains, Cletus the Dog Kitten jumped up to bat at the snow.
Old Man Winter has finally come to his senses.
I was fooled into thinking we were going to have a 45-degree day. That’s what my weather app said. But now I’m looking out my window at a fresh blanket of white. Hmm, something’s amiss, me thinks.

Yeah. It’s in the teens and feels like 2 — and it really, really does, even to me.

Whoa, looks lovely. My kids would love to go sledding but unfortunately the rain has melted all the snow. Damn El Niño!

Right? We had rain for days before this. It may well be rain that melts it. Weird winter is weird.

You said the magic word Joey: weird. We went to Cabezítas’ soccer game for 2pm and weather was balmy and raining. Got out of the soccer centre around 3:15 and it was blustery and snowing and Fuh-reeeeezing!

Well girl I thought of you this morning when I woke up. Because of the snow. Not anything nasty. So glad you finally got your snow.

Thanks, Benson! I’ll be glad to be thought of when it snows 🙂

I love snow, unless I have to drive in it. I can drive in it just fine, but so many people can’t, it makes me a bit nervous. I’ve had a lot of it already, so I am pretty glad to be somewhere it is rare now.

Me too. Me too. Me too. I know. I’m pleased for you 🙂

Looks beautiful. Woke up this morning to snow as well. A bit of a rarity here and it looks like it’ll mostly be gone by tomorrow or so.

At least it’s a Sunday, and not a day when everyone has to be somewhere at an early hour. We can slow down and just enjoy the beauty. 🙂

Right? I knew it was coming, so I went to the store yesterday, sent The Mister out to fill up my car. I’m settled.
LOL I even arranged that I would take the dog out tonight for last call if he takes the girls to school tomorrow 😀

You know how to arrange a great snow schedule! Of course, that’s assuming the girls have school tomorrow. 😉

Indeed! But that’s okay, because two snow days are better than one 😛

Nice – enjoy it. The rain is washing all of ours away…again dagnammit. What’s worse is the dangerous slippery mess we’re left with when it all freezes overnight 😦

Bummer. Yeah, ice treachery is definitely the worst part of of winter.

Thanks, I think so too. I wish I could have caught him pawing at the window — he was so precious!

Ooooh I’m jealous! We need some of the powdery stuff for about 36 hours.

Bleh. Here’s hoping you get some beautiful snow that sticks only to the grass and trees 🙂

Beautiful! Great to think winter has finally reached… We are looking at summer in a few weeks now – looks like winter and spring ran off together!

I’d absolutely love to wake up and see that outside my window any day!
We’ve been having an unusually cool summer down where I am, so I suppose I know what’s happened to all the heat now…

The weather here in Edmonton has been really warm for winter. We are only now getting a bit of cold. I have friends and family who line in Toronto and Ottawa that had +17°C at Christmas. They were wearing shorts!
