Red doors have great significance religiously, historically, and culturally. I love red doors. I find them striking. They grab my attention every time.
This door is one of my faves:

Neighbors had the most beautiful red door, then they sold the house to people who painted it TAN! I was so bummed that I refused to drive by the house for months. So yes, I like red doors.

I saw a beautiful red door the other day and it was so stunning I neglected to take a picture. Curious thing. I posted my door pic on Instagram before I even saw your post. Must be the weather.

I have such a boring door in a boring colour. I have to live vicariously through other people’s wonderful doors.
My favourite is the blue house with the red door. Maybe it’s the combination of the wrought-iron fence in front of the house. Nice 🙂

I have a boring door, too. It’s white, for pity’s sake. One day I shall paint it, but alas, for now, it’s white and oh-so common.

Red against yellow or white…perfect. I love your featured door the best. I recently googled a house we once owned; owners chose to paint the front door red, but left the siding green…it didn’t work.

Oh that’s sad. There are plenty of reds and greens that work well, too…
There’s a house I pass frequently where they’ve got gorgeous limestone on about 3/4 of it, and for all of my life, it was a sorta greeny-gray. Well now it’s red. Bright red barn red. It’s hideous. Just hideous. It’s somewhere between “OH MY GOD, WHY?!?” and “This is why people should get color consults!”

I love red doors too. I think my favorite of these is the one with no windows, although someone could totally break one of the side panes out and break in that way. I also really like the second one that looks like it’s got a stained-glass window.

I love RED doors too. I love 7843..it has a box lock, must be for sale and it needs a little broom work..just saying!
I was hoping today would be “rant” day for “R” but, red door is better.

Ive seen a lot of red doors on barns, not a lot of red doors. Ours isnt even, though youd think it would be with the giant red fence and giant red deck.

Maybe that’s enough red? I dunno. My door faces south, so no deep colors for me. 😦 Oh, but southern exposure is a fair trade! 🙂

Well, our trim is green (Blech) so maybe that explains the off white door? I dunno. Decor isnt really my thing, lol

I’m partial to red doors too. I really like the brick cottage with the juniper framing the walkway up to it, and the spelled out house number is neat. It’s hard to beat the warm and cozy feeling a yellow house with red french door gives isn’t it. 🙂

I’m a fan of red doors, too. My front door is actually red and looks pretty much like the one on the left above your favorite, only with longer side windows. Funny, isn’t it?

Red doors are awesome. The only drawback is that they seem to require repainting more often than other colors because red generally fades faster when exposed to sunlight; a small price to pay if you ask me.
That first one is my fave – I like the way they wrote out the address instead of using numbers, very original 🙂

Yes, the red does fade, but I agree, worth the paint.

Yes, I like red doors, too, but I can’t choose a favorite, although I do like the middle on in the top row. Maybe the arch of greenery and the stained glass window? 🙂

Joey, my favorite one is in the top row, brick with a triangular section where purple clematis or another type of pretty vine is over the top of burgundy door with white trim. I liked the small arched stained glass window with white window sill next to the door, too. Is this a parish hall or minister’s home?
This one is very attractive and the flowers make it beautiful, in my eyes. 🙂 All of the red doors are pretty and well kept. You presented a lovely set of multiple door choices!

It has a really warm look to it, maybe just radiating happy spring flowers. We like what we like. Your choice was really attractive with buttercream or yellow home, white trim and red door. My last good boyfriend and I liked a buttercream house like this only it had a nice forest green door. The white trim and yellow worked well with the door. Whenever we passed it we would say, “That’s our dream house!” (He went back to his girlfriend before me after we dated 2 years. I wish him well.)

I love red doors. All of these are so nice for many different reasons! They are much more common here in Virginia than when I lived in Florida. I love that I get to see them often, not including mine which I see daily. 🙂
