What’s your favorite ice-cream flavor?
Um, ice cream.
I’m particularly fond of spumoni, chocolate peanut butter, dulce de leche, Cherry Garcia, Chunky Monkey, cookies and cream, pistachio, pineapple coconut, butter pecan, rocky road, anything with bourbon or rum, chocolate covered strawberry…I really, really love ice cream, and frozen custard, and gelato, and sherbet, and fro-yo.

If you were to treat yourself to the “finer things” what would you treat yourself to?
Well I think it depends on which aspect. I have expensive taste in a lot of things, but I’m not fancy. Something extravagant that I might enjoy… Ooh, I’d love to have my old foot reflexology lady come and do my feet every night at bedtime. Yesss. And then lock up the house when she leaves. Yesss. That would be fiiiiine.

Have you ever been drunk?
Yes, but not today.

Complete this sentence: My favorite supposedly guilty pleasure is… TV passé before bed. I love watching old shows. It’s like how I cycle through breakfast cereals. I never get sick of Friends, Frasier, Will & Grace, Arrested Development, Wings, Just Shoot Me, How I Met Your Mother, News Radio, Night Court, Murphy Brown, Golden Girls, MASH — there are a lot more. Sometimes I’ll even throw a light drama series in there, like Castle, but mostly sit-coms. I got really super excited when I recently noted how many more old tv shows are streaming. The Mister and I watched some Newhart and the actual old Bob Newhart Show is available, and well, that’s my guilty pleasure.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Too many blessings to count. I’m grateful for too many blessings to count.

This week coming up, I’m looking forward to …hmm, I guess I’m looking forward to the weekend. We’ll have a get together at The Palace of Rules, celebrate the new year, eat more yummy foods, and enjoy an extra day off.

Cee’s Share Your World is a weekly feature and all are welcome to join in and play along.

    “Have you ever been drunk?
    Yes, but not today.”

    This made me chuckle. 😀

That’s what Sam and I usually do before bed as a couple (and then he goes to sleep and I stay up reading blog posts like I’m doing now), watch old sitcoms. We are cycling through Friends again now. Btw, if you have an Amazon fire stick, you can put this tv addon thing (for lack of appropriate tech term) where you can stream a shit ton of old (and new) tv shows. I found Full House and Boy Meets World when I got on it earlier, pretty cool to let LM watch some of the stuff I watched when I was around his age.

I like the older TV shows. Adam 12, Dragnet, Have Gun will Travel. You know. The light dramas. I also like some of older comedies. Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, the Adam’s Family. I guess old TV, like old movies is a relative term.

Your answer to the bonus question is just perfect 🙂
Hmm yeah, it’s a bit hard choosing a favourite ice-cream flavour… but I do tend to go with peanut butter & chocolate whenever that’s an option. Cookies & cream is always a solid choice, but I’m also partial to coffee, and choc mint…

  5. I liked a lot of the old TV shows, but pretty much TV is just a headache these days. Ice cream is great, even if my tummy doesn’t agree with it. I love ice cream and you named a lot of great flavors. 🙂
I hope that you have a great week and weekend and a wonderfully happy (and ice cream filled!) New Year. 🙂

  6. Having too many blessings to count is, well, the best blessing of all! Hopefully the upcoming year will be filled with many more of them.

You are right, the old shows are the best. Perry Mason, I love Lucy, Quincy. Have a Happy New Year.

    “Have you ever been drunk?
    Yes, but not today.”

That’s a really good answer. You look good, but the possibility remains.

I love butter pecan with caramel drizzled over it, or bourbon butter pecan (Kroger’s Private Selection pints). I like your comfy clothes, bedtime relaxing shows and think you have a great way to end the day without scary or worrisome subjects on your mind, Joey.
I liked a few shows from the same era as some of yours: “Caroline in the City,” “Scrubs,” and “Cheers.” My kids still like “That 70’s Show” and “Wonder Years.”
My son liked “Home Improvement” and watches the newer more liberated, “Last Man Standing.” Tim Allen has learned about being a Dad of girls (son has 3 girls and 2 boys, combo due to marriage) as well as a more liberated wife. 🙂
By the way, I am a big fan of “Friends”, “Just Shoot Me” and “Will and Grace.” 🙂

  12. The questions this week are great even though they remind me of my youngest. She thinks life isn’t complete without Chocolate ice cream. We’ve had cookies, candies, and pies over the holidays. Yes! But that isn’t ice cream.
She is finding some shows from “my time” on netflix… but now Hannah Montana (we bypassed Disney Princess for her) is on reruns.

As usual, your responses are entertaining and yes! Sitcoms are the best and Bob Newhart is the best of the best. That man makes me laugh 🙂
