SoCS — All High, No Low

High: My HME come to visit me.

“Mama’s havin a sleepover.”

Driving around catching up, choosing fish at the market, sampling cheese.
Pajamas on the porch. Aperol spritzers. Orange slice candies. Talking into the wee hours. Laughing and crying over the stuff of life. Open windows, cool breezes. Sleep came easy and fast.

Morning coffee. Crazy hair.

Twenty-one years of some version of that.

      There are only a dozen orange slices left… Oh it’s so hard to leave them for another day!

      HME is a friend. Those are her feet there on the bottom.

    I like the orange slices and the mint things that look like them, but they’re green and taste minty. Also gumdrops…

      I haven’t had one of those green ones in a long, long time. I’d have to try them again. I love orange slices though. So much, I rarely buy them, cause I can’t stay out of them!
