Ever ran out of gas in your vehicle?
No, but I do come closer than I should. In the van, the idiot light would come on when it hit an eighth. Bonnie Blue pings me and shows low fuel on my speedometer at what seems like the last mile, which gives me tremendous anxiety.
If I’m crafty, I can usually swing it so that The Mister puts gas in my car. I know, I should be ashamed, but I’m totally not.
“You need gas!”
“You little shit.”

Which are better: black or green olives?
Ugh. I don’t know. I love them both so much! Olives are a staple food for me. I probably eat more of the black.

If you were a great explorer, what would you explore?
I’m pretty splorer-y, but not great. My time with mountains and rocks and caves is done, but I’d like to explore some LOOOOONG trails, like the kind that take weeks and months. That’s something we talk about doing when we’re merely two.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Saturday night’s sex was WOW. I tell you, I don’t know why we even do other things. Do y’all know my husband works and goes to school? Terrible waste of his time. *giggles*
Also, the carrot cake was delicious.

I’ll share a photo… OF THE CAKE.

This week coming up looks like a dull one. There’s nothing on my calendar until the 6th, and honestly, I’m grateful for that.

Cee’s Share Your World is a weekly feature and all are welcome to join in and play along.

  1. I love olives! I also love WOW. Don’t need pictures.

Well, I’m glad you chose to share pictures of the carrot cake 😉

No olives of either color for me. For the record, I usually put gas in the editor’s car. She doesn’t drive much, so it doesn’t need to happen often, but I don’t think she’s ever seen the warning light.

It’s possible that I have “forgotten” on occasion to fill up my gas tank prior to knowing that Z-D was going to need to drive my car. 🤔 I mean things happen…

Years ago; when my boys were young; I had a 64 Rambler station wagon. I ran out of gas about once a week in that damn car. I had no excuse. I just hated to get gas. I love all sorts of olives. Just one more reason I am glad Fresh Thyme is opening in Broad Ripple. Olive bar.

I hate stopping to fill up, too. It seems to take an unreasonable amount of time!

That’s exciting about the Fresh Thyme opening, I had no idea — do you know where already? I love Fresh Thyme. VERY much.

  6. Thank you SO much for only including a photo of the cake!!! I love olives off all sorts. When my s-i-l lived in Provence, there were heavenly olives, although she once tricked my husband, her brother, into trying an olive from the tree. Do not ever do that! They’re very nasty until doctored up to the form in which they’re sold.

My van let’s me know when I’m getting low on gas and includes a complimentary how-many-miles-until-empty figure. I’ve tested that to the limit a few times. My husband used to offer “his” car to me sometimes and it would almost always need gas. NOT nice at all!!!

My car tells me all that stuff, too — if I stop and fiddle with the buttons. I’m not good at fiddling with the buttons, and it’s probably for the best, or I WOULD totally push my limit! lol

No, no olives from the tree! 😛

  9. I can’t take to olives of any colour!
I always used to get my husband to fill up the car, but with the job I have now I HAVE to do it myself!!
That carrot cake looks yummy, no doubt just the thing after working up an appetite! 😉😉😉😉

  10. Been driving for almost 50 years (yikes), don’t think I ever ran out of gas, but I’ve come close. The worst was stuck on the highway in New Jersey, leaving NYC, in a 3 hour traffic backup, with no visible gas pumps off any exit !
    Tori Amos…perfect. Love her.

Oh yeah, that sounds pretty dire! I like when you’re out in BFE and they have signs that read stuff like, “NO FUEL 61 MILES” — very helpful.
I luuurrrrve Tori Amos, Van ❤

Love olives. They are their own food group. My go-to olive is a jumbo, green, and stuffed with garlic. I have some in the fridge right now and they are calling me.

  12. I’m not a fan of olives. I’ve gotten where if they happen to be in something, I’m okay with that. My car gets filled at the last possible amount of miles left. I have no excuse. 🙂 Love the quotes!

Two things: 1) Olives are the food choice of THE DEVIL. 2) Congratulations on the sex!

    Okay. 🙂
    I think that’s everything.

  15. I love olives. My favorites are Kalamata, and green stuffed with…just about anything. 🙂 He-Man picked up a Huge jar of HUGE Spanish olives stuffed with pimentos, and there are cloves of garlic, and sliced sweet red peppers in there too. I’ll be breaking that open tonight.

I usually fill up Pearl, but He-Man fills it up if I ask him to. I’ve never run out of gas, but came close a couple of times while on road trips. Sometimes there’s just way too many miles between gas stations! I’ve coasted to the pump on fumes one of those times.

I’ve always been a bit afraid of running out of gas on a lonely road so try to top off the tank once it hits the halfway point. With the invention of idiot lights I’ve pushed it as far as a quarter of a tank then I can’t get to a station fast enough.

I also love WOW! The carrot cake pic was enough. 🙂

  18. So weird. I, as a child of a Moroccan, grew up detesting olives with a passion. Maybe because I was force-fed olive puree as a baby – haha, not true. Anyway since I got pregnant last year I have loved olives. I’m not even pregnant and I still love olives. It’s mad! I love these ‘Share your worlds’ 🙂 Great to stumble on your blog.
