What can I say? It was a beautiful day and I wandered down some alleys in search of interesting doors.

I didn’t say they were pretty, I said they were interesting.
For pretty, I brought you a mural, if you dig it, anyway.

And the blue skies were nice, too.

Funky diagonal lines, rust, chipped and faded paint; a varied collection with lots of character. And a bonus fun mural too!
“See you” in a few weeks 🙂

I do like the little lacy work above that last door. Real life front and center.

And set into an arch originally (though sadly not maintained). Someone had some glimpse of glory. I wonder how tall the ceilings are on the inside – a staircase, perhaps?

Even just a peek would be wonderful.

What a great selection of funky doors. Alleys are always interesting. Often that is where people hide stuff.

Clever and very interesting take – we often just walk past doors in alleyways and not pause to look at the potential artistic aspects in them. Nice job!

I look forward to these door posts. So much character in doors. Love the one with the upstairs door to nowhere. So many doors packed tight on the ground level. It’s interesting, and I want to know why.

It’s the back of a storefront. I only saw three shops. I suspect some of those doors must be to the apartments above.

They used to remodel a lot of old buildings that way. Looks funky though

I love this group of photos. The door with the window + decorated arch above it gives me happy feels. Every little bit of style makes this world a better place.

I like the rusty looking door the best, and the mural is cool!
I hope you’re not wandering around alone in dicey looking areas. I want you to be safe on your doorscursions! 🙂

On this day, I was traveling in a pack 🙂 I am always keeping safety in mind, I promise!

I do like the mural, but those poor doors could use some paint love. 🙂 Happy Thursday, Joey.

VERY interesting collection. Colts Reserved? Is that a beer, or a ball team facility? I’m intrigued by the wires in the first two photos. And the one that’s painted with rust may be my favorite. 🙂

My fave is the rusty one, too. I did not see ANY indication of what the place was on the other side. It’s maybe a small factory or warehouse? No signs, no windows.

Definitely a great collection of doors most people would ignore. Love them!

I grew up in a city with plenty of alleys so this tour made me smile. I also really like the striped paint with the awning stripes going in a different direction, and the mural, of course. 🙂

Some very well worn doors there. Nicely done.

Interesting, for sure. Time hasn’t been kind to some of these. I really like the last door with the large transom window. I like the mural too.

I was thinking, where were all the people then I saw that they were all in the mural. Nice finds and the blue sky brightened up each door!

The last 4 are the most interesting to me. I like all the different patterns, and lines. The opportunists at the bottom of that super cool rusty door look like misplaced ornaments to me. Especially the big one.
My mind sees rust and peeling paint and wants to grab a macro lens. I enjoyed the alley tour.

Good! Thanks! The rusty one is my fave, too 🙂

I can hear the rusting one moaning ‘I’m bleeding. I’m bleeding …”

And the muse opens the door to a poetic thought for another poem about doors (you’ve not seen the first cuz I ain’t posted it). Definitely, doors with character….love Joanne’s “I’m bleeding…”

Once again! Great doors.

Oh yes, interesting is right. And the sky and the clouds go extremely well with not-so-pretty-but-beautiful.

I’ve always loved murals, and this one wins over the doors 🙂
The sky, however, is the real winner!
