I have blogged since 2006, but Joeyfully Stated is a public blog. I previously had blogs set up to be read by only a few specific people. My disinterest in teaching and subsequent knowledge and relief of rules and regulations regarding teaching license renewal led directly to this public blog. It does aim to explain to the reader where I’m coming from, and if you’re into subtlety, you get a faint description of my style.
The Yellow Wallpaper is worth reading, but basically it’s about a woman going insane.
DING!DING!DING!
I began this blog while I still lived in Georgia, but when I knew I’d be moving soon. My friends read my complaints about heat, sun, humidity and fire ants for years, but I knew that would never fly with strangers.
Here are my Nominees:
These are people who’ve been with me longest. As ever, if you don’t care to participate, I don’t mind. I so appreciate the readership and the support I get from WordPress, and it’s my pleasure to share you with one another.
Well I am glad that you decided to concentrate on Blogging as I love reading your posts! π

Nice bit of writing Ma’am. I think I would have enjoyed reading your thoughts on heat, sun and fire ants. Having lived in the Southwest I have definite opinions on all three. Of course I enjoy what you write now.

I was so miserable in The Deep South, Benson. Just miserable. It was hard on me.
Any chance you’ll write about your Southwest experience?

Oh boy, do I dare? Can I edit it first? π Thanks for thinking of me, my dear. I’m everso glad you decided to blog publicly. This place wouldn’t be the same without you my dear friend. π

It’s hard to imagine you need editing, but go on! π

Sweet! This sounds like a fun one. I was just thinking about what I should post today so this was pretty great timing! I’ll check out your first post as soon as I’m off work, when I’m likely to feel like I belong in the yellow wallpaper as well. I loved The Yellow Wallpaper. I don’t know how to make italics in comments, hmmm. Thanks for the nomination!

Sometimes if you put asterisks aside the words to italicize, it works, but it depends on the theme the blog uses.
I hope you’ll play π

I definitely will, just as soon as I get home. I can’t believe it isn’t even noon yet. It has been a long morning!

Hahahaha. My wife, Dr. King, teaches in the university English department here in Edmonton. She even teaches The Yellow Wallpaper. And sometimes her glasses can get pretty dirty. π

Congratulations π i’m so glad you decided to become a public blogger, and I love that you nominated your first blogger followers.
Love those giraffes; I see a giraffe tangle in my future …

Someone shared with me a giraffe whose spots were tangles and mandalas — It was pretty neat π
Thanks, Sammy!

Ping! “Joey linked to your post About”….. (I’m just in bed), press the link…. wha…? No post available….Press it again….HARDER!
Took me 5 mins on my ‘Smartphone’ to figure out what the heck was going on?
I always get your notifications late in the evening or early in the morning! I love it. I know going to bed the night of a post, that I will be waking up to a lovely comment from you. Its a thing. I expect it now, because you have never let me down Joey!
I love when you comment on specific aspects of my writing. I love that most posts you write, seem to have been bouncing around unformed in my head for eons.
I feel like I’m hearing from a friend.
I also love that you always have an “opt out” clause. I’m not much for the techie side of WordPress. Sometimes just adding a photo can have me tearing my hear out in clumps. (Fitty has so many different files where he dumps my stuff.) When he explains it I impatiently understand, but then when I go to find something…..?
Yeah, needless confusion is what he’s all about. Am I local disc “C” or local disc “D”? I never remember… and the whole thing makes me ANXIOUS. So we know what that means, huh?
I may write a post and try pinging back to my best and most interesting… you never know? More likely I will fuck it up and have Fitty rescue me later on π

Such a lovely comment, Meg. I’m touched, thank you. It’s such a delight to find you here π
As I’m off to bed soon, you’ll be awake soon! Start the coffee for me, would ya?
I only recently added the WP app on my phone and it is not my favorite thing ever, lol!

(Late morning here, already on my third coffee!) Thanks Joey, I guess you don’t always have to meet someone to make a real connection.
