My nephew Simon said, “Whatever baseball’s Super Bowl is.”
I know it’s The World Series, but I favor his apathy on the topic.

Obviously, Simon is more of a football fan. That gets two thumbs up from me.

Simon might be onto something. This is when baseball really gets interesting, or when you’re ready to poke your eyes out. It might be interesting, from a historical point of view, if the Yankees meet the Dodgers in the World Series – but that history would be lost on Simon, and probably Joey π

Fraid so.
I do know some baseball stuff, but only because it rolls under my rock now and again.

Such a powerful word ‘whatever’ has become. Context is everything, right? Or, whatever.

Agreed.

I would be saying it the other way around…whatever football’s World Series is. Baseball’s my game. I’m rooting for Houston. Hate the Dodgers and the Yankees. The Cubs won last year. Give someone else a chance.

Truth be told, I much prefer hockey and most sports I prefer watching from home, as the price of getting there, in, and (if you want) eating and drinking to be much to high for the enjoyment factor. π And at home you can go to the bathroom whenever you like in a (hopefully) nice bathroom and without waiting in line!!

Other than the hockey playoffs and occasional Hoosier Hysteria, I watch sports as a consequence of living with a man who likes sport things.

I like sports even without my husband, but I find baseball on TV to be mostly boring. Love hockey whether on TV or in person and I also like cycling, college football, etc. I mostly now watch teams I like and that’s it, not just sports no matter who’s playing.

I prefer to think of it as football’s World Series…

I have discovered that as I age I become more indifferent to Sports. All sports. I still enjoy the idea of of sitting outdoors on a crisp October Saturday watching a college football game though. It has been a while.

I prefer being outdoors on a crisp October day to most anything.

You should take in a game sometime. Absolutely.

Baseball never ends. I’m with Simon. Whatever.

As I remember when I was a child (I know I’m dating my self) baseball ended right after school started. Now it seems to end when? somewhere around new years? Whatever!

You said it. I like baseball, but for a few months– not a 3-season commitment. π
